Ich liebe Duftkerzen. Ich habe früher im Laden unter anderem „Yankee Candle“ Duftkerzen verkauft und war gar nicht so schlecht darin, die Düfte mit geschlossenen Augen zu erraten. (Lieblingsspiel meiner Praktikanten im Laden 😂.) Ihr lacht jetzt, aber das Sortiment von „Yankee Candle“ ist ziemlich groß, und dazu kommen noch die vierteljährlich wechselnden Kollektionen und limitierten Düfte 🙈.
Bis heute finden „Yankee Candle“ Kerzen den Weg in mein Heim.

Vor einigen Jahren hat „Yankee Candle“ sein Sortiment um die Marke „WoodWick“ erweitert. Das sind Duftkerzen mit einem sogenannten „Knisterdocht“, um es mal ganz unfachmännisch auszudrücken. Und auch an denen kann ich einfach nicht vorbei.
Vor Kurzem bin ich auf die „WoodWick“ Candle „Evergreen Cashmere“ (affiliate Link) gestoßen und war sofort schockverliebt. Ich liebe den Duft, und der knisternde Docht sorgt für eine gemütliche Kaminstimmung. Kaum zu glauben, was so ein kleiner Docht zustande bringt. Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, entsteht das „Kaminfeuer-Knistern“ durch Lufteinschlüsse in den Holzfasern des Holzdochtes.

Und weil die Düfte oft wechseln und dann nicht mehr im Programm sind, habe ich mir vorsichtshalber einen kleinen Vorrat der „WoodWick“ Candle „Evergreen Cashmere“ angelegt.

I love scented candles. Back in the day, I used to sell “Yankee Candle” candles in a store, and I wasn’t too bad at guessing the scents with my eyes closed. (It was a favorite game of my interns at the shop 😂.) You might laugh now, but the “Yankee Candle” range is pretty big, and on top of that, they release seasonal collections and limited-edition scents every quarter.
To this day, “Yankee Candle” candles still find their way into my home.

A few years ago, “Yankee Candle” expanded their range to include the brand “WoodWick.” These are scented candles with what’s called a “crackling wick” – to put it in non-technical terms. And honestly, I just can’t resist them either.
Not long ago, I came across the “WoodWick” candle “Evergreen Cashmere”, (affiliate link) and I was instantly in love. I adore the scent, and the crackling wick creates a cozy fireplace vibe. It’s hard to believe such a small wick can make such a difference. If I understand it correctly, the “fireplace crackle” happens because of tiny air pockets in the wooden fibers of the wick.

And since the scents often change and then disappear from the lineup, I made sure to stock up on a few of the “WoodWick” “Evergreen Cashmere” candles – just in case.

Es ist noch gar nicht lange her, dass ich vor lauter Begeisterung über meine Duftkerze von der kleinen Kerzenmanufaktur Sensory Philosophy einen Post geschrieben habe. Als ich das letzte Mal bei Fontaine de Cérier war, hatte Sandra einige Sommerdüfte als Proben zum Schnuppern da. Und auch einen Reed- Diffuser konnte ich im Original sehen. Ich habe mich direkt in zwei Düfte verliebt.

Wie ich bereits im letzten Post vermutet hatte, bin ich ganz verliebt in die Duftkerze #04 Lilou – Lime/Basil/Mandarin. Es klang schon wunderbar und nun, wo ich sie riechen durfte, bin ich hin und weg. Mein zweiter Favorit ist der Duft #12 Thea – Rhubarb/Elderflower. Auch bei diesem Duft hatte ich schon vermutet, dass er mir gefallen würde. Ein Traum und ich glaube meiner Assistentin „Night“ gefallen sie auch. 🐶

Ich bin jetzt schon gespannt, was Sensory Philosophy für den Winter und für Weihnachten kreieren wird.

PS: Für alle, die meinen ersten Post über Sensory Philosophy nicht gelesen haben, erwähne ich noch kurz, dass alle verwendeten Zutaten natürlichen Ursprungs sind.

It wasn’t long ago that I wrote a post full of excitement about my scented candle from the small candle atelier Sensory Philosophy. When I last visited Fontaine de Cérier, Sandra had a few summer fragrances as samples to try. I also got to see a reed-diffuser in its original form. I instantly fell in love with two scents.

As I already suspected in my previous post, I’m absolutely smitten with the candle #04 Lilou – Lime/Basil/Mandarin. It already sounded wonderful, and now that I’ve been able to smell it, I’m blown away. My second favorite is scent #12 Thea – Rhubarb/Elderflower. I had a feeling I’d like this one too, and it really is a dream. I think my little assistant “Night” likes them as well. 🐶

I’m already excited to see what Sensory Philosophy will create for winter and Christmas.

PS: For anyone who hasn’t read my first post about Sensory Philosophy, I’ll just mention briefly that all the ingredients used are of natural origin.

Duftkerzen sind ein ganz besonderes Thema in meinem Leben. Ich liebe nämlich Duftkerzen.
Im Laden hatte ich früher eine große Auswahl an Duftkerzen einer bekannten amerikanischen Marke.

Von meiner Freundin habe ich nachträglich zum Geburtstag eine ganz wundervolle Duftkerze bekommen.
Die kleine Manufaktur „Sensory Philosophy“ gibt es erst seit 2019 und alle Produkte werden in Handarbeit hergestellt. Alle Inhaltsstoffe sind pur und natürlich. Es gibt unter anderem eine kleine Produktion in Südfrankreich. Die Düfte sind ganz zart, obwohl es sich um Kräuter-Nuancen handelt. Die Kerzen sind sowohl vom Duft als auch vom Style super edel. Das Wichtigste ist aber, die Kerzen riechen nicht nur im Glas!
Im „Sensory Philosopy“ Online Shop habe ich Düfte entdeckt wie: Lime & Basil & Mandarin (Lilou), Thyme & Olive & Bergamot (Inès) oder Rhubarb & Elderflower (Thèa). Ich selbst bin stolze Besitzerin der Kerze (Lola) Black Amber & Lavender.

Scented candles are a very special topic in my life. I simply love them.
Back when I had my shop, I used to carry a wide selection of scented candles from a well-known American brand.

For my birthday, my friend gave me a truly wonderful scented candle.
The small manufactory “Sensory Philosophy” has only been around since 2019, and all their products are handmade. Every ingredient is pure and natural. They even have a small production site in the south of France. The fragrances are delicate, even though they’re based on herbal notes. The candles are incredibly elegant, both in scent and in style. But the most important thing is: they don’t just smell good in the jar!
In the Sensory Philosophy online shop I discovered scents like Lime & Basil & Mandarin (Lilou), Thyme & Olive & Bergamot (Inès), or Rhubarb & Elderflower (Thèa). I myself am the proud owner of the candle (Lola) Black Amber & Lavender.
