Diese Drehteller (Affiliate Link) schaue ich mir schon eine ganze Weile an. Aber ich war mir nicht sicher, ob sie wirklich das Richtige für mich sind.
Aber kurz gesagt: Ich würde den Drehteller wieder kaufen. Er bringt sofort mehr Ruhe ins Bad – vor allem, wenn viele kleine Produkte herumstehen.

Mein Problem war Unordnung im Bad. Nicht wirklich Unordnung, aber der Kleinkram, der so herumsteht. Ein kleines Gläschen hiervon, ein kleines Töpfchen davon und noch schlimmer – drei Tuben von diesem. Ihr wisst, was ich meine. Es sieht unordentlich aus und nervt beim Putzen. Außerdem ist dieser herumliegende Kleinkram im Badezimmer ja auch schon rein farblich gesehen ein einziges Chaos.
Also suchte ich etwas, mit dem ich dem Kleinkram im Bad den Garaus machen konnte.

Der Kleinkram-Kampf – und wie der Drehteller ihn gewann

Ich habe schon alles Mögliche ausprobiert, wie beispielsweise Körbchen. Aber nur mit mäßigem Erfolg. In Körbchen kann man nicht richtig hineinschauen, und im Bad muss es oft zügig gehen. Da will man nicht in drei Körbchen wühlen. Glas und Keramik kommen für Ordnungssysteme im Bad für mich aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht in Frage. Ich bin im Bad immer barfuß unterwegs, und meine Fliesen sind leider empfindlich. Holz bekommt unschöne Wasserflecken, und Pappe weicht auf.
Also habe ich mich auf die Suche nach einem Ordnungssystem gemacht, das all diesen Ansprüchen gerecht wird – und mich für diese Drehteller aus Kunststoff entschieden.

Und ich muss sagen, ich bereue meinen Kauf nicht. Mit den Drehtellern habe ich das Kleinkram-Chaos gebändigt. Sie bringen sofort mehr Ruhe ins Bad – vor allem, wenn viele kleine Produkte herumstehen.
Was ich daran wirklich mag: Nun ist mein Badregal ordentlich, nichts kippt mehr um und ich finde alles sofort. Gerade morgens ist das praktisch, wenn es schnell gehen muss.
Den zweiten Drehteller habe ich im Badunterschrank. Da ist es fast noch besser. Jetzt muss ich nicht mehr in den Schrank krabbeln, wenn ich etwas suche. Man wird ja nicht jünger…
Meine Mutter habe ich übrigens auch angesteckt. Da dreht sich jetzt der halbe Haushalt 😂🙈.

Ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen – vor allem für kleinere Bäder. Ich kann mir Drehteller auch überall dort gut vorstellen, wo viele kleine Dinge herumstehen und eine klassische Box einfach keinen Sinn macht.

I’d already tried everything – baskets, for example. But with limited success. You can’t really see into baskets properly, and in the bathroom you often need things quickly. Nobody wants to rummage through three baskets. Glass and ceramic are out of the question for me in the bathroom for safety reasons. I always walk around barefoot, and my tiles are unfortunately sensitive. Wood gets ugly water stains, and cardboard goes soggy. So I went looking for an organizer that ticked all the boxes – and ended up choosing these plastic turntable organizers.

And I have to say, I don’t regret my purchase at all. The turntable organizers have tamed the clutter chaos completely. They instantly bring more calm to the bathroom – especially when lots of small products are involved. What I really love about them: my bathroom shelf is now tidy, nothing falls over anymore and I find everything immediately. Especially useful in the mornings when you’re in a rush.

The second turntable organizer lives in my bathroom cabinet. That’s actually even better. No more crawling into the cabinet looking for things. We’re not getting any younger… I’ve also converted my mum. Now half her household revolves. Ha ha 😂🙈

I’d buy it again anytime – especially for smaller bathrooms. I can also imagine turntable organizers working brilliantly anywhere lots of small items tend to pile up and a classic box just doesn’t make sense.

Ich liebe Duftkerzen. Ich habe früher im Laden unter anderem „Yankee Candle“ Duftkerzen verkauft und war gar nicht so schlecht darin, die Düfte mit geschlossenen Augen zu erraten. (Lieblingsspiel meiner Praktikanten im Laden 😂.) Ihr lacht jetzt, aber das Sortiment von „Yankee Candle“ ist ziemlich groß, und dazu kommen noch die vierteljährlich wechselnden Kollektionen und limitierten Düfte 🙈.
Bis heute finden „Yankee Candle“ Kerzen den Weg in mein Heim.

Vor einigen Jahren hat „Yankee Candle“ sein Sortiment um die Marke „WoodWick“ erweitert. Das sind Duftkerzen mit einem sogenannten „Knisterdocht“, um es mal ganz unfachmännisch auszudrücken. Und auch an denen kann ich einfach nicht vorbei.
Vor Kurzem bin ich auf die „WoodWick“ Candle „Evergreen Cashmere“ (affiliate Link) gestoßen und war sofort schockverliebt. Ich liebe den Duft, und der knisternde Docht sorgt für eine gemütliche Kaminstimmung. Kaum zu glauben, was so ein kleiner Docht zustande bringt. Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, entsteht das „Kaminfeuer-Knistern“ durch Lufteinschlüsse in den Holzfasern des Holzdochtes.

Und weil die Düfte oft wechseln und dann nicht mehr im Programm sind, habe ich mir vorsichtshalber einen kleinen Vorrat der „WoodWick“ Candle „Evergreen Cashmere“ angelegt.

I love scented candles. Back in the day, I used to sell “Yankee Candle” candles in a store, and I wasn’t too bad at guessing the scents with my eyes closed. (It was a favorite game of my interns at the shop 😂.) You might laugh now, but the “Yankee Candle” range is pretty big, and on top of that, they release seasonal collections and limited-edition scents every quarter.
To this day, “Yankee Candle” candles still find their way into my home.

A few years ago, “Yankee Candle” expanded their range to include the brand “WoodWick.” These are scented candles with what’s called a “crackling wick” – to put it in non-technical terms. And honestly, I just can’t resist them either.
Not long ago, I came across the “WoodWick” candle “Evergreen Cashmere”, (affiliate link) and I was instantly in love. I adore the scent, and the crackling wick creates a cozy fireplace vibe. It’s hard to believe such a small wick can make such a difference. If I understand it correctly, the “fireplace crackle” happens because of tiny air pockets in the wooden fibers of the wick.

And since the scents often change and then disappear from the lineup, I made sure to stock up on a few of the “WoodWick” “Evergreen Cashmere” candles – just in case.

Apothekengläser – die perfekte Lösung für Kräuter und Gewürze

Von einem Nahrungsergänzungsmittel hatte ich ein paar wirklich hübsche und praktische Apothekengläser mit Schraubverschluss übrig. Viel zu schade für den Glasmüll. Als ich mir die Gläser so ansah, dachte ich mir, sie wären wirklich perfekt als neue Kräuter- und Gewürzgläser. Außerdem hatten meine bisherigen Gewürzgläser dringend ein Update nötig – sie wurden etwas unansehnlich. Nach einem kurzen Check, ob die Apothekengläser auch wirklich in meine Schublade passen, war ich Feuer und Flamme, sie als neue Kräuter- und Gewürzgläser zu nutzen. Leider hatte ich natürlich nicht genügend von diesen Apothekengläsern für all meine Kräuter und Gewürze. Und ich möchte jetzt auch nicht bis ans Ende meiner Tage diese Nahrungsergänzungsmittel nehmen, nur um meine Gewürzsammlung umfüllen zu können. Denn eines ist sicher: Ich hasse Durcheinander in meinen Schubladen.

Passende Aufkleber – perfekt für einen Natural Style

Also habe ich mich online auf die Suche gemacht und tatsächlich fast identische Apothekengläser gefunden. Der Deckel war zwar ein wenig anders, aber damit konnte ich leben. Da der Style der Apothekengläser gut zum „Natural Style“ passt, wollte ich natürlich auch Aufkleber haben, die dazu passen. Dabei bin ich auf Kraftpapieraufkleber gestoßen. Ich habe runde Aufkleber für die Deckel bestellt, damit ich von oben direkt sehen kann, was in den Kräuter- und Gewürzgläsern ist. Außerdem größere für die Gläser selbst, falls ich sie in ein Regal stelle oder liegend aufbewahre.

Worauf ihr beim Kauf und Nachmachen achten solltet

Ein kleiner Tipp: Die Deckel meiner Apothekengläser haben einen Durchmesser von 5 cm, also habe ich gezielt nach Aufklebern mit 4 cm Durchmesser gesucht. Achtet darauf, falls ihr euch auch solche Gläschen zulegen wollt, denn die meisten Aufkleber haben einen Durchmesser von 5 cm. Außerdem gibt es die Gläser in diversen Größen, was ziemlich toll ist, denn von manchen Gewürzen habe ich gerne auch ein wenig mehr im Haus.

Apothecary Jars – The Perfect Solution for Herbs and Spices

I had a few cute and super practical apothecary jars with screw lids left over from some supplements. Way too nice to just throw away. As I looked at the jars, I thought they’d be absolutely perfect as new herb and spice jars. Plus, my old spice jars really needed an update – they were starting to look pretty shabby. After a quick check to see if the apothecary jars would actually fit in my drawer, I was all fired up to use them as my new herb and spice jars.

Perfect Labels for a Natural Style

Of course, I didn’t have enough of these apothecary jars for all my herbs and spices. And I definitely don’t plan on taking those supplements forever just to refill all my spice jars. One thing’s for sure: I can’t stand a messy, mix-and-match style in my drawers.

So, I went online and found almost identical apothecary jars. The lid was a bit different, but I can live with that. Since the apothecary jars fit so well with my „Natural Style,“ I obviously wanted labels that matched. That’s when I stumbled upon kraft paper labels. I ordered round labels for the lids so I can see what’s in each jar from the top and bigger ones for the jars themselves, in case I store them on a shelf or lying down.

Things to Keep in Mind When Buying or DIY-ing

A quick tip: The lids of my apothecary jars are 5 cm in diameter, so I specifically looked for 4 cm labels. Make sure to check that if you’re thinking about getting similar jars, since most labels are 5 cm. Also, these jars come in different sizes, which is great because I like to keep a little extra of some spices on hand.

Ich versuche seit Längerem, Kunststoffflaschen zu vermeiden – egal ob Pfandflasche oder nicht. Totale Vermeidung ist mit Sicherheit die beste Lösung. Außerdem schleppe ich höchst ungern Flaschen durch die Gegend. Meine Antwort darauf ist der Wasserfilter Lucy von Waterdrop – und ich möchte ihn euch heute genauer zeigen.

Zugegeben, für Wein und Prosecco habe ich noch keine Lösung gefunden, aber beim Wasserschleppen bin ich schon mal raus. Ich filtere Leitungswasser. Ganz einfach. Das einzige, was mich daran bis vor Kurzem noch genervt hat, waren die Filterkartuschen unseres alten Wasserfilters. Eine Menge Kunststoff, der jedes Mal samt Filter entsorgt werden musste. Bei jedem Filterwechsel habe ich mir gesagt: das kann es doch nicht sein.

Was der Wasserfilter Lucy von Waterdrop wirklich kann

Der Waterdrop Wasserfilter (*Affiliate Link) besteht zum größten Teil aus Glas und sieht dabei sehr schick aus. Die Karaffe lässt sich einfach mit zum Essen auf den Tisch stellen und macht auch in der Küche eine gute Figur. Er passt in die Kühlschranktür und filtert die gängigen Stoffe heraus, die wir nicht in unserem Wasser haben wollen: Schwermetalle, Chlor, Medikamentenrückstände, Östrogene und grobe Mikropartikel wie Mikroplastik. Wertvolle Mineralien hingegen bleiben erhalten.

Und nun das Beste: Der Filter ist klein und kommt ohne Kunststoffhülle aus. Man legt einfach ein kleines rundes Pad in den Filter – das war’s. Die Glaskaraffe lässt sich natürlich in der Spülmaschine reinigen. Ich bin absolut zufrieden – mit der Filterleistung und mit dem Geschmack des Wassers.

PS: Wer auch unterwegs auf Plastikflaschen verzichten möchte, dem empfehle ich die Larq Bottle – ich habe sie mir selbst zugelegt und hier darüber geschrieben.

I’ve been trying to avoid plastic bottles for a while now – whether deposit bottles or not. Avoiding them altogether is definitely the best solution. And honestly, I really don’t enjoy lugging bottles around. My answer to that is the Waterdrop Lucy water filter – and today I want to show you exactly why I love it.

Admittedly, I haven’t found a solution for wine and prosecco yet – but when it comes to carrying water around, I’m out. I filter tap water. Simple as that. The only thing that used to bother me about it was the filter cartridges of our old water filter. A lot of plastic that had to be thrown away every single time, filter and all. Every time I changed it I thought: there has to be a better way.

What the Waterdrop Lucy Water Filter actually does

The Waterdrop water filter (*affiliate link) is mostly made of glass and looks really beautiful. The carafe is stylish enough to put straight on the dinner table and looks just as good in the kitchen. It fits in the fridge door and filters out the usual suspects we don’t want in our water: heavy metals, chlorine, pharmaceutical residues, oestrogens and coarse microparticles like microplastics. Valuable minerals, on the other hand, are preserved.

And the best part: the filter itself is tiny and comes without any plastic casing. You simply drop a small round pad into the filter – that’s it. The glass carafe can of course be cleaned in the dishwasher. I’m absolutely happy with it – both the filtering performance and the taste of the water.

Es begann auf Fuerteventura, in einem unserer Lieblingsrestaurants. Ich wollte nach dem Essen kein Dessert und auch nicht den hundertsten Kaffee, als mir der Cocktail des Tages ins Auge fiel. Espresso Martini. Seitdem ist es um mich geschehen. Wie konnte ich Espresso Martini nur vergessen? Es ist mir schleierhaft.

Gefährliche Angelegenheit übrigens, denn ich könnte Espresso Martini so vor mich hinschlürfen, was man natürlich besser unterlässt. Nicht nur wegen der Gesundheit, sondern weil man nach dem Schlürfen auch nicht mehr nach Hause schlurfen kann 🙈.

Fakt ist jedenfalls, dass ich mit meiner „Espresso Martini“ Leidenschaft nicht alleine bin, so angesagt, wie der Cocktail zurzeit ist. Man bekommt ihn quasi überall und das sogar in lecker. Sagt jetzt nicht: Ist ja auch keine Kunst, ich habe in Frankreich schon Cocktails bekommen … Ein Beispiel für einen Caipirinha in Cannes serviert in einem Sektglas: ein wenig Zucker, mit irgendeinem Saft und Alkohol. Farbe: Blau. Ihr versteht, dass ich bei Cocktails vorsichtig bin.

Da man für einen Espresso Martini nur Eis, Espresso, Wodka, Kaffeelikör und eventuell Zuckersirup benötigt, habe ich mir das Equipment für zu Hause zugelegt.
Außerdem kann man seinen Gästen so einen Espresso Martini ausschließlich in einem hübschen Glas anbieten. Grund genug, mir endlich die Gläser zuzulegen, die ich schon etwas länger anhimmle 🤩.

PS: Wie immer kein Rezept, das können andere viel besser 🙈.

It started in Fuerteventura, in one of our favorite restaurants. I didn’t want dessert after dinner, nor the hundredth coffee, when the cocktail of the day caught my eye. Espresso Martini. Since then, it’s happened to me. How could I have forgotten about Espresso Martini? It’s a mystery to me.

Dangerous business, by the way, because I could sip Espresso Martini like that, which of course is better left undone. Not only because of your health, but also because you can’t shuffle home after slurping.
In any case, the fact is that I’m not alone with my „Espresso Martini“ passion, as hip as the cocktail is at the moment. You can get it almost everywhere and even in delicious. Don’t say now: It’s not an art, I already got cocktails in France … An example of a caipirinha in Cannes served in a champagne glass: a little sugar, with some juice and alcohol. Color: blue. You understand that I am cautious about cocktails.

Because all you need for an espresso martini is ice, espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur, and possibly sugar syrup, I got the equipment to make it at home.
Besides, you can offer your guests such an Espresso Martini exclusively in a pretty glass. Reason enough to finally get me the glasses, which I adore a little longer.

Ich hasse Unordnung. Und ja, ich liebe Marie Kondo und verschlinge die Folgen von „The Home Edit“.
Ich falte meine Klamotten zwar nach meinen eigenen Regeln, ich bin schließlich Dekorateurin. Vermutlich habe ich schon Wäscheberge für Schaufenster- und Ladendekorationen gefaltet, die kilometerhoch sind. Und Dinge farblich nach Regenbogen zu sortieren, ist für mein Auge unerträglich. Nein, da bin ich eigen, und das treibt mir auch eine Marie Kondo nicht mehr aus.

Meine letzte Problemzone in Sachen Ordnung waren Schuhe. Schuhe liegen einfach irgendwie herum, kippen um und sind obendrein noch schmutzig. Ich brauchte also eine halbwegs hübsche Aufbewahrung für Schuhe ohne Schuhschrank, die sich einfach ins Interior einfügt. Wohin also vernünftig mit Schuhen? Ich habe schließlich kein Ankleidezimmer und auch keinen Platz für einen Schuhschrank, außerdem sehen die meisten Schuhschränke furchtbar aus. In meinem Schrank haben schmutzige Schuhe auch nichts zu suchen. Jetzt kommt mir nicht mit Schuhkartons. Ich weiß, die kann man stapeln, aber wenn man an das unterste Paar will … Nein, das ist keine Lösung, zudem sehen sie unterschiedlich aus und sind verschieden groß.

Die Anforderungen an meine Aufbewahrung für Schuhe ohne Schuhschrank

Ich möchte meine Schuhe sehen, ich möchte sie einfach entnehmen und auch wieder verstauen können, sie sollen nicht einstauben und auch nicht gequetscht werden. Die Aufbewahrung sollte wenig Platz einnehmen und schön aussehen beziehungsweise sich in die Einrichtung integrieren. Außerdem sollte die ganze Sache günstig und umweltfreundlich sein. Ich wollte auf keinen Fall für jedes Paar Schuhe eine Kunststoffbox kaufen. Kurz: eine Aufbewahrung für Schuhe ohne Schuhschrank, die meinen inneren Ordnungsfreak nicht triggert.

Und wer suchet, der findet! Es ist wie mit meiner Badewanne (ich habe hier darüber berichtet), ich habe eine perfekte Lösung gefunden und nutze dieses Schuh-Aufbewahrungssystem bereits seit einigen Jahren – und mittlerweile auch viele meiner Freunde. Grund genug, euch davon zu berichten.

Meine Lösung: Boxen statt Schuhschrank

Ich habe diese Boxen (affiliate link) aus stabilem Karton gefunden. Sie haben ein Sichtfenster und funktionieren als Schublade. Sie sind einfach perfekt. Für mich sind sie die ideale Aufbewahrung für Schuhe ohne Schuhschrank, ohne dass ein hässlicher Schuhschrank im Weg steht. Ich stapel die Kartons einfach in einem Spalt zwischen Schrank und Wand. An einer anderen Stelle habe ich auch einige der Boxen in einem Regal samt meiner Handtaschen gestapelt und verstaue in einer der Boxen noch einen Regenschirm und kleine Handtaschen.

Um den perfekten Durchblick zu behalten, habe ich von allen Schuhen ein Foto gemacht, es auf ein Etikett gedruckt und auf den jeweiligen Karton geklebt. In manche Kartons passen übrigens auch zwei Paar Sommerschuhe oder mehrere Flip-Flops.
Mittlerweile habe ich die Boxen überall für diversen Kram an Stellen, wo ein Karton mit Deckel zu unpraktisch ist – wie beispielsweise gestapelt in einem Schrank.

PS: Der einzige Haken an der Sache: Es gibt sie leider nur in einer Größe, und sie passen nicht für große Stiefel und sehr große Herrenschuhe.

I hate clutter. And yes, I love Marie Kondo and binge-watch every episode of “The Home Edit”.
I still fold my clothes by my own rules, after all I’m a decorator. I’ve probably folded clothing mountains for shop windows and store decorations that reach up to the sky. And colour-coding things like a rainbow is unbearable for my eyes. No, I’m picky about that and not even Marie Kondo is going to change it.

My last problem area when it comes to organizing was shoes. They are just lying around, falling over and, on top of that, they are dirty. I needed a halfway pretty shoe storage without a shoe cabinet that blends in with my interior. So where do you put shoes in a sensible way? I don’t have a dressing room and I don’t have space for a shoe cabinet, and most shoe cabinets look terrible anyway. Dirty shoes definitely don’t belong in my wardrobe either. And please don’t start with shoe boxes. I know you can stack them, but the moment you need the pair at the very bottom… No, that’s not a solution, plus they all look different and come in all sizes.

I want to see my shoes, I want to take them out easily and put them back just as easily, they shouldn’t get dusty and they shouldn’t be squashed. The storage should take up little space and look nice or at least blend in with the rest of the decor. On top of that, the whole thing should be affordable and as eco-friendly as possible. Buying a plastic box for every single pair of shoes was absolutely out of the question for me. In short: I wanted a shoe storage without a shoe cabinet that doesn’t trigger my inner neat freak.

And if you seek, you shall find! It was just like with my bathtub (I wrote about it here), I found the perfect solution and have been using this shoe storage system for several years now – and meanwhile many of my friends do as well. Reason enough to finally share it with you.

My solution: boxes instead of a shoe cabinet

I found these boxes (affiliate link) made of sturdy cardboard. They have a little window at the front and work like a drawer. They are simply perfect. For me they are the ideal shoe storage without a shoe cabinet, without an ugly shoe cabinet standing around somewhere. I stack the boxes in a narrow gap between wardrobe and wall. In another spot I have a few of them stacked on a shelf together with my handbags, and in one of the boxes I store an umbrella and some small clutches.

To keep the perfect overview, I took a photo of every pair of shoes, printed it on labels and stuck it onto the respective box. Some of the boxes even fit two pairs of summer shoes or several pairs of flip-flops.
By now I use the boxes all over the house for all sorts of bits and pieces – wherever a normal box with lid would simply be too impractical, like stacked inside a cupboard.

PS: The only downside of the whole thing: they unfortunately come in just one size, so they don’t work for tall boots or very large men’s shoes.

Ich bin nicht so der Rosa Typ. Barbie und Prinzessin Lillifee müssen ohne mich klarkommen und ehrlich gesagt ist die Schmalzbacke Ken auch nicht so mein Fall. 😂🙈 Und versprochen, das sage ich jetzt nicht nur, weil ich früher nie eine Barbie bekommen habe, wie auch wir haben im Osten gewohnt.

Zurück zum Thema Rosa. Normalerweise laufe ich in Deko-Shops immer ganz entspannt an Rosa vorbei, direkt zu Türkis und bisher hatte ich auch nie das Bedürfnis nach rosa Deko. Daher war ich auch ein bisschen über mich selbst verwundert, als ich mich dabei erwischt habe, wie ich rosa Samtkissen für unser Sofa zusammengestellt habe. Gar nicht so übel. Die Rosa-Töne wären von Barbie und Prinzessin Lillifee vermutlich auch nicht so einfach als echtes Rosa durchgewunken worden, aber ich bin ja im Rosa-Anfänger-Stadium 🤷‍♀️. Allerdings befürchte ich, dass ich Barbie und Prinzessin Lillifee sofort untreu werde, sofern ich Kissenhüllen im perfekten Türkis aus Samt oder Frottee finde. (Mein Sternzeichen ist halt Meerjungfrau.)

Bis ich also das perfekte Türkis ergattere, gefällt mir mein Anfänger-Rosa ziemlich gut, und die Samtkissen, die übrigens mal wieder von Dekoria stammen, sind wirklich schön weich.

PS: Bei Dekoria gibt es die Samtkissen übrigens gefühlt in tausend Variationen, Größen und Farben: quadratisch, rechteckig, rund, gesteppt, mit Knopf, mit Pom Poms und gemustert. Alles, was das Herz begehrt.

I’m not the pink type. Barbie and Princess Lillifee have to get along without me and honestly Ken is also not my type. 😂🙈 And I promise, I’m not just saying that now because I never used to get a Barbie, as well we lived in the socialist East part of Germany the GDR 🤷‍♀️.

Back to the subject of pink. Normally I run in decoration stores always quite relaxed past pink, directly to turquoise and so far I also never had the need for pink decoration. Therefore, I was also a bit surprised at myself when I caught myself putting together pink velvet pillows for our sofa. Not bad at all. The shades of pink probably wouldn’t have been easily waved through as true pink by Barbie and Princess Lillifee either, but I’m in the pink beginner stage 🤷‍♀️. However, I’m afraid I’ll be immediately unfaithful to Barbie and Princess Lillifee, provided I find pillowcases in the perfect turquoise in velvet or terrycloth. (My zodiac sign is just mermaid.)

But until I get hold of the perfect turquoise, I quite like my beginner pink, and the velvet pillows, which by the way are once again from Dekoria, are really nice and soft.
PS: At Dekoria, by the way, there are the velvet pillows felt in a thousand variations, sizes and colors: square, rectangular, round, quilted, with button, with pom poms and patterned. Everything your heart desires.

Ich gestehe, ich würde niemals von mir behaupten, dass Shopping zu meinen Hobbys zählt und wenn ich ganz ehrlich bin, finde ich stundenlange Shopping-Touren sogar richtig grauenvoll. Die Kaffeepause gefällt mir daran meist am besten und wenn die Tour zu lange dauert, steige ich von Kaffee auf alkoholische Getränke um 🙈🤷‍♀️🤪.
Ganz anders verhält es sich allerdings, wenn es um Dekoläden beziehungsweise Interior-Shops geht. Da lasse ich keinen Shop aus, der mir vielversprechend erscheint.

In Nizza habe ich ein paar Lieblingsläden in denen ich, sofern ich da bin, regelmäßig fündig werde und vor ein paar Tagen habe ich noch einen weiteren kleinen Laden in der Altstadt entdeckt, in dem es einiges zu entdecken gibt.

Heute zeige ich euch ein paar Bilder aus meinen Lieblings-Interior-Shops, die quasi für jeden Touristen auf dem Weg liegen und in denen man durchaus auch ein tolles Mitbringsel entdecken kann.

I confess, I would never claim that shopping is one of my hobbies, and if I’m completely honest, I find hour-long shopping tours really horrible. I usually like the coffee break best, and if the tour lasts too long, I switch from coffee to alcoholic beverages 🙈🤷‍♀️🤪.

It’s a completely different story, however, when it comes to decor stores or interior stores. I don’t miss out on any store that seems promising to me.

In Nice I have a few favorite shops where I always find something when I’m in Nice, and just a few days ago I stumbled upon another little store in the old town that’s full of treasures waiting to be discovered.

Today I show you a few pictures from my favorite interior stores, which are virtually on the way for every tourist and where you can definitely discover a great souvenir.

Haltet mich gerne für wahnsinnig, wenn ich schreibe, das Schönste an einem Gästezimmer-Prep ist es, die Betten zu beziehen. Normalerweise ist das Schönste daran, die Handtücher aufs Bett zu legen und zu sagen fertig und die Tür von außen zu schließen, abgesehen davon, den Besuch zu empfangen natürlich. Dieses Mal war das Schönste am Gästezimmer-Prep aber tatsächlich das Bettenbeziehen. Der Grund dafür ist meine neue Bettwäsche. Ich liebe sie.

Ich habe recht lange nach weißer Bettwäsche gesucht. Sie sollte nachhaltig produziert sein, aber auch langlebig und die Qualität sollte passen. Ich liebe es, wenn Bettwäsche fein und leicht ist. Fein und leicht so wie ich es liebe bedeutet eine hohe Fadendichte beziehungsweise Fadenzahl des Baumwollstoffes. Ab einer Fadendichte von 500 wird es richtig spannend, dann bewegt sich die Bettwäsche im Premiumbereich, was so viel heißt wie ab da ist sie richtig toll und blöderweise auch richtig teuer 😂🙈.

Bei meiner Bettwäsche-Suche bin ich über den Linenbundle Shop gestolpert, wo mir das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis fast zu gut um wahr zu sein vorkam. Aber ich habe es mal gewagt und sie bestellt. Nachdem ich die Bettwäsche nun schon eine Weile nutze und auch mehrfach gewaschen habe, kann ich sie euch uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Die Bettwäsche ist so toll, dass ich mittlerweile noch ein weiteres Set in einer anderen Farbe bestellt habe, die mir optisch fast noch besser gefällt🤩.

Call me crazy, but for me the best part of getting a guest room ready is making the beds. Normally, the highlight is putting the towels on the bed, saying ‘all done,’ and closing the door behind me—apart from welcoming the guests, of course. But this time, the real highlight of the guest room prep was actually making the beds. The reason? My new bedding. I absolutely love it.

Now don’t think I’m insane when I write that the nicest part was making the beds. Usually the nicest part is putting the towels on the bed and saying done and closing the door from the outside, aside from welcoming the visitor of course. This time, however, the nicest part of the guest room prep was actually making the bed. The reason for that is my new sheets. I love them.

I’ve been looking for white bedding for quite a long time. It should be sustainably produced, but also durable and the quality should fit. I love it when bed linen is fine and light. Fine and light as I love it means a high thread density or thread count of the cotton fabric. From a thread density of 500 it gets really exciting, then the bed linen moves in the premium range, which means as much as from there it is really great and stupidly also really expensive😂🙈.

In my bedding search, I stumbled across the Linenbundle Shop, where the price-performance ratio seemed almost too good to be true. But I took a chance and ordered them. Now that I’ve been using the bedding for a while and have also washed it several times, I can recommend it to you without reservation. The bedding is so great that I have since ordered another set in another color, which I like visually even better🤩.

Und das ist die andere Farbe. Die zeige ich irgendwann mal genauer.

Ich würde ja gerne einen sinnvollen Text verfassen oder einen witzigen Bullshit, aber nach nichts von beidem steht mir derzeit der Sinn. Und wenn man nichts zu sagen hat, sagt man halt auch besser einfach mal nichts.
Aber ich habe ein paar Schöne Bilder für euch von meinen aktuellen Lieblingsgläsern. Die sind schon etwas länger in meinem Besitz und ich glaube, sie sind auch schon mal auf dem Blog aufgetaucht, aber eben nicht so richtig.

Diese wunderschönen Gläser von Dekoria sind bei mir etwas untergegangen, weil ich sie im Schrank so stehen hatte, dass ich sie nicht sehen konnte. Ein großer Fehler. Das habe ich jetzt erst einmal geändert. Die Gläser sind nämlich toll. Sie sind aus dickem Glas, fühlen sich klasse an und durch den „Schliff“ glitzern sie in der Sonne. Ich glaube, dass sich auch Desserts und kleine Vorspeisen super darin machen. Das werde ich die Tage mal ausprobieren.

I would like to write a meaningful text or a funny bullshit, but I don’t feel like either at the moment. And if you have nothing to say, you just better just say nothing.
But I have some nice pictures for you of my current favorite glassware. They’ve been in my possession for a bit longer and I think they’ve also appeared on the blog before, but just not really.

These beautiful glasses from Dekoria have been a bit lost on me because I had them in my closet so I couldn’t see them. A big mistake. I have now changed that for the time being. The glasses are great. They are made of thick glass, feel great and the „cut“ makes them sparkle in the sun. I think that desserts and small appetizers also make super in it. I will try that out the days.
