Mit Kaftanen ist das bei mir so ein Ding: Ich kann einfach nicht genug davon kriegen. Auf Neudeutsch heißt das dann wohl: Hashtag #kaftanliebe.

Kaftane trage ich übrigens im Sommer gerne zu Hause, quasi als Sommer-Jogger. Sie sind bei Hitze einfach genial und außerdem auch deutlich schöner anzusehen als ein ausgeleierter Jogginganzug. Und natürlich trage ich sie auch am Strand. Kaftane sind supergeeignet, um an einem Strandtag im Restaurant zu essen oder in der Lounge etwas zu trinken. Man kann seinen Kaftan einfach über den Bikini werfen und ist perfekt für den Beach-Club gekleidet.

In vielen Ländern, unter anderem in Frankreich, ist es übrigens nicht nur verpönt, sich in Badebekleidung an die Bar oder den Tisch in einem Beach-Club zu setzen, man wird auch vom Kellner weggescheucht und aufgefordert, sich zu bekleiden. Und in vielen Beach-Clubs stehen sogar Schilder, um daraufhin zu weisen. Also ein schöner Kaftan gehört unbedingt ins Gepäck. Das ist quasi eine Anschaffungserlaubnis von mir.

Dieser Kaftan durfte vor einiger Zeit neu bei mir einziehen. Ich musste mich von einem Kaftan wegen Altersschwäche trennen und dann darf man sich ja mal in den Konsum stürzen.
Bei Aurobelle-Ibiza gibt es so schöne Kaftane, Sarongs und Kleider. An diesem Kaftan mag ich die Stickereien und die verspielten Quasten besonders.

It‘ s one of those things with Kaftans: I just can’t get enough of them. In new German, this is then probably called: Hashtag #kaftanlove.

By the way, I like to wear kaftans at home in the summer, as summer joggers, so to speak. They are simply great in the heat and also much nicer to look at than a worn-out jogging suit. And of course, I also wear them on the beach. Kaftans are super suitable for eating at a restaurant or having a drink in the lounge on a beach day. You can just throw your kaftan over your bikini and you’re perfectly dressed for the beach club.

In many countries—France included—it’s not just frowned upon to sit down at the bar or a table in a beach club in swimwear, you’ll actually get shooed away by the waiter and told to put some clothes on. And in many beach clubs there are even signs to point this out. So a nice kaftan definitely belongs in your luggage. This is more or less an acquisition permit from me.

This kaftan moved in with me a little while ago. I had to part with one of my old kaftans that gave up due to age, so I figured a little retail therapy was in order. Aurobelle Ibiza has the most beautiful kaftans, sarongs, and dresses. What I love about this one are the embroideries and those playful little tassels.

Eines Morgens in der Provence…

Ein Morgen mit fast traumhaftem Wetter, schon fast sommerlich – wenn da nicht der Mistral gewesen wäre. Der Mistral kann es übrigens ganz schön in sich haben, und in einigen Büchern wird sogar behauptet, man könnte vom Mistral wahnsinnig werden.

Eigentlich wollte ich euch diesen wunderschönen Kimono zeigen, aber den Shop gibt es nicht mehr – und auch den Kimono nicht mehr.

Ich liebe es, dass meine Freundinnen Spaß daran haben, Kleider anzuprobieren und sich dann auch noch von mir durch die Gegend scheuchen lassen, damit ich sie fotografieren kann. Ich liebe es zu sehen, wie unterschiedlich Kleidung an verschieden Menschen aussieht.

Meine beste Freundin hat im Übrigen schon vor 20 Jahren den Spruch vom Stapel gelassen, dass jede Frau, die meine Wohnung betritt, sich irgendwann auszieht. Und zwar um irgend eins meiner Kleidungsstücke anzuprobieren. Keine Ahnung, warum das so ist, aber tatsächlich ist da was dran. Vermutlich schwärme ich von meinen Lieblingskleidungsstücken oder Lieblingsbrands und animiere meine Freundinnen dazu, die Teilchen unbedingt mal anzuprobieren. Meine beste Freundin wird natürlich nicht müde zu lachen: Geht das schon wieder los. Ein echter Running Gag von uns.

Sandra und ich können Kleidchen-Probieren im Übrigen auch sehr gut.
Und sieht Sandra @ƒontainedecerier nicht toll aus in dem roten Kleid von Aurobelle Ibiza? Sandra und ich sind uns absolut einig: Auch dieses Aurobelle Boho-Kleid hat das Zeug zum Lieblingskleid. Das Baumwollmaterial ist super weich und leicht. Der Schnitt ist einfach großartig und natürlich gibt es auch wunderschöne Boho-Quasten an dem Kleid…

I love that my friends have fun trying on clothes and then let me shoo them around so that I can photograph them. I love seeing how different clothes look on different people.

By the way, my best friend said 20 years ago that every woman who enters my apartment will take off her clothes at some point. And that to try on any of my clothes. I don’t know why that is, but there’s something to it. Probably I rave about my favorite clothes or favorite brands and encourage my friends to try on the pieces. Of course, my girlfriend never tires of laughing: Here we go again. A real running gag from us.

Sandra and I are also very good at trying on dresses.
And doesn’t Sandra @ƒontainedecerier look great in the red dress from Aurobelle Ibiza? Sandra and I absolutely agree: this Aurobelle boho dress also has what it takes to be a favorite. The cotton material is super soft and light. The cut is just great and of course there are also beautiful boho tassels on the dress….

Eins ist sicher, dieses Kleid von Aurobelle gehört jetzt schon zu meinen Lieblingskleidern. Es ist so, so, so toll.

Es ist einfach ein Kleid für den ganzen Tag, ein Feel-Good-Dress sozusagen. Es ist perfekt für den Strand, aber auch für die Stadt und ich kann es mir auch super mit kleinen Fransen-Stiefelchen oder mit Sneakern vorstellen.

Das Baumwoll-Material ist übrigens superweich und leicht. Und die Ärmel, diese süßen Ärmel, ich liebe die Rüschen daran. Dieses Kleid hat mehrere dieser unaufdringlichen Boho-Details, wie zum Beispiel eine eingearbeitete gehäkelte Bordüre.
Auch der Schnitt ist einfach nur toll. Das Kleid ist ziemlich bequem und durch die Schlitze an den Seiten kann man sich richtig gut darin bewegen und Schlitze sind ja auch gar nicht so unsexy …

One thing is for sure, this dress from Aurobelle is already one of my favorite dresses. It is so, so, so great.

It’s just a dress for the whole day: it’s perfect for the beach, but also for the city and I can also imagine it super with little fringed boots or with sneakers.

By the way, the cotton material is super soft and light. And the sleeves, those cute sleeves, I love the ruffles on them. This dress has several of those understated boho details, like a built-in crocheted border.
The cut is just great as well. The dress is quite comfortable and the slits on the sides make it really comfortable to move around in, and slits aren’t that unsexy after all….

Kleid Byron Bay in einer anderen Farbe

Sommerkleider zählen vermutlich zurzeit nicht zu den Kleidungsstücken, die wir täglich tragen, aber ich habe ein neues Kleid und das muss ich euch zeigen. Oder eigentlich möchte ich euch noch einen weiteren Bohemian-Style-Shop ans Herz legen.

Das Kleid stammt aus dem Online-Shop Aurobelle von Ibiza und ja, beim Erwähnen des Insel-Namens steigt meine Reise-Sehnsucht immens. Und ich hätte nicht übel Lust, mich direkt auf den Weg nach Ibiza zu machen und den zum Online-Shop zugehörigen Laden in Santa Gertrudis auf Kleid und Tunika zu untersuchen. Omg. Ich durfte mir ein Kleid aussuchen und ich schwöre, die Entscheidung war unendlich schwer. So viele wunderschöne Kleider, Tücher und Tuniken, die übrigens eigene Designs von Aurobelle sind.

Das habe ich früher schon so an Ibiza geliebt. Man traf dort einfach die bunteste Mischung kreativer Menschen aus der ganzen Welt. Dementsprechend gab es auch diese ganz eigene individuelle Mode. Die heißesten bunten Hippie-Hosen kaufte man beispielsweise bei Sigi am Strand, ich glaube, so hieß er. Er hatte die Hosen einfach mit Wäscheklammern an seinem Sonnenschirm befestigt und nahm einem 50,00 DM pro Stück ab. Mein Budget reichte damals pro Urlaub für eine Hose und ich erinnere mich daran, das ich einmal leer ausging, weil mir eine Promi-Mietze alle Hosen vor der Nase wegschnappte, als sie Geschenke für ihre Freundinnen kaufte. (Ich war leider keine dieser glücklichen Girls 😂)

Der Bohemian-Fashion-Shop Aurobelle gehört definitiv zu diesen besonderen Shops, die es auch heute noch auf Ibiza gibt. Die Story der ehemaligen Flugbegleiterin, die vor ungefähr fünfundzwanzig Jahren nach Goa ging und dann nach Ibiza kam… So inspirierend. Die Stoffe werden beispielsweise mit Blockdruck in Handarbeit gefertigt. Und es mag schmalzig klingen, aber ich liebe es, im Online-Shop mit: the answer is love begrüßt zu werden. Jep, voll mein Ding.

Summer dresses are probably not one of the clothes we wear every day at the moment. But I have a new dress and I have to show you. Or actually I would like to recommend you another bohemian style store.

The dress is from the online store Aurobelle of Ibiza and yes, at the mention of the island name my travel longing increases immensely. And I wouldn’t mind going straight to Ibiza and checking out the store in Santa Gertrudis. Omg. I got to choose a dress and I swear the decision was infinitely difficult. So many gorgeous dresses, shawls and tunics, which by the way are Aurobelle’s own designs.

I loved that so much about Ibiza in the past. You just met the most colorful mix of creative people from all over the world there. Accordingly, there was also this very own individual fashion. For example, the hottest colorful hippie pants were bought from Sigi on the beach, I think that was his name. He had simply attached the pants with clothespins to his parasol and took one 50.00 DM per piece. My budget was enough for one pair of pants per vacation and I remember that I once went empty-handed because a celebrity snatched all the pants from under my nose when she was buying gifts for her friends. (Unfortunately, I wasn’t one of those lucky girls 😂)

The bohemian fashion store Aurobelle is definitely one of those special stores that still exists in Ibiza. The story of the former flight attendant who went to Goa about twenty-five years ago and then came to Ibiza. So inspiring. The fabrics, for example, are handmade with block printing. And it may sound corny, but I love being greeted in the online store with: the answer is love. Yes, totally my thing.
