Ich bin wirklich lange um dieses „Crochet Dress“ (Affiliate Link) von Aurobelle Ibiza herumgeschlichen. Nicht, weil ich mir nicht sicher war, ob es in natura so schön ist wie auf den Fotos, sondern weil ich mich gefragt habe, ob man so ein Kleid mit 50 noch tragen sollte. Als im Etsy Shop nur noch drei verfügbar waren, habe ich es gewagt und dieses traumhaft schöne Häkelkleid bestellt.
Und ich bin zu dem Schluss gekommen: Ja, kann man. Und zwar sehr gut. Vor allem am Strand.
Das Crochet Dress ist super weich und trägt sich unglaublich angenehm. Es ist ein handgemachtes, langärmeliges Boho Crochet Dress aus leichter Bio-Baumwolle mit einem tiefen, offenen Rückenausschnitt, was es zu einem echten Ibiza-Kleid macht – luftig, ein bisschen sexy, aber trotzdem entspannt.
Allerdings muss ich zugeben, dass ich am Rücken je einen kleinen Abnäher eingearbeitet habe. Das habe ich von Hand gemacht und es hat genau zehn Minuten gedauert. Und „ich“ heißt in diesem Fall eigentlich meine Mutter und ich – alleine komme ich da hinten nicht ran. Meine Mutter ist in Sachen Nähen sowieso mein Partner in Crime. Sie hat mir das Nähen überhaupt erst beigebracht.
Wir haben früher quasi alles selbst genäht, weil es im Osten ja keine schönen Sachen zu kaufen gab. Ich erinnere mich an wirklich süße Teile, aber auch an einige grauenvolle Missgeschicke. OMG. Da gab es dieses Kleid zu meiner Jugendweihe 🙈 Ich falle heute noch vor Lachen vom Stuhl, wenn ich Fotos davon sehe. Sorry, Mom – Du hast Dich damals durchgesetzt, aber dieses Kleid … 🤣🙈🤷♀️.
Aber zurück zu meinem Crochet Dress: Es ist einfach wunderschön und ich liebe es. Es ist genau so ein Kleid, das man in den Urlaub mitnimmt – leicht, unkompliziert und perfekt für heiße Tage. So wie auch meine Pitusa Kleider, über die ich hier schon einmal geschrieben habe.

I circled around this “crochet dress” (Affiliate Link) from Aurobelle Ibiza for quite a while. Not because I wasn’t sure if it would look as beautiful in real life as it does in the photos, but because I wasn’t sure if you can still wear a dress like this at 50. When there were only three left in the Etsy shop, I went for it and ordered this absolutely stunning crochet dress.
And I’ve come to the conclusion: yes, you absolutely can. And very well, too. Especially at the beach.
The crochet dress is incredibly soft and very comfortable to wear. It’s made from lightweight organic cotton, has long sleeves and a deep open back, which gives it that true boho Ibiza feel—light, a little bit sexy, but still relaxed.
I do have to admit, though, that I added a small dart at the back. I did it by hand and it took exactly ten minutes. And “I” in this case really means my mother and me—I can’t exactly sew the back while wearing the dress. My mother has always been my partner in crime when it comes to sewing. She’s actually the one who taught me everything.
We used to sew almost everything ourselves, because back in East Germany there simply weren’t many nice clothes to buy. I remember some really cute pieces, but also a few truly terrible mishaps. OMG. There was this dress I wore for my Jugendweihe 🙈 I still laugh so hard when I see photos of it. Sorry, Mom—you won back then, but that dress… 🤣🙈🤷♀️
But back to my crochet dress: it’s simply beautiful and I love it. It’s exactly the kind of dress you pack for a vacation—light, uncomplicated, and perfect for hot days. Just like my Pitusa dresses, which I’ve also written about here.
