Wenn man sich mal intensiv mit seiner Apple Watch befasst, wird einem klar, dass es nicht mehr lange dauern wird, bis man mit ihr zum Mars fliegen kann. Soooo viele Funktionen.

Im Internet werden ebenso viele Apple Watch Armbänder angeboten, wie die Uhr Funktionen hat, allerdings sind die meisten eher modern. Für die Winter-Tonja kein Thema, aber die Sommer-Tonja findet das nicht so toll. Ich wollte ein Apple Watch Armband, das zu meinen Kleidern passt und sich mit meinen bunten Sommerarmbändern kombinieren lässt – über meine kleinen Lieblingsarmbänder habe ich hier übrigens schon einmal geschrieben. Doch die meisten bunten Hippie- oder Boho-Armbänder, die für die Apple Watches angeboten werden, gefallen mir nicht, sehen billig oder nicht sonderlich vertrauenswürdig aus.

So ein Boho Apple Watch Armband ist also die hübsche Alternative zu den klassischen, eher schlichten Designs – mit natürlichen Materialien, bunten Farben und Mustern, die perfekt zu einem sommerlichen Look passen. Es gibt die Armbänder übrigens in soooo vielen hübschen Farben.

Vor kurzem habe ich endlich ein süßes Boho Apple Watch Armband (Affiliate Link) gefunden, das zu mir passt. There are just as many Apple Watch bands available online as the watch has functions, but most of them are quite modern. Not a problem for winter-Tonja, but summer-Tonja isn’t a big fan of that. I wanted an Apple Watch band that matches my dresses and can be combined with my colorful summer bracelets—I’ve actually written about my little favorite bracelets here before. But most of the colorful hippie or boho-style bands for the Apple Watch just don’t appeal to me; they often look cheap or not very trustworthy.

Ja, der Zahn der Zeit nagt unerbittlich – nicht nur an meinen Möbeln. Er macht leider auch vor meinen Augen nicht halt. Mittlerweile reicht meine Armlänge in schummeriger Umgebung nicht mehr aus, um kleingeschriebene Texte wie Speisekarten zu entziffern. Und mein Gegenüber kann ich ja schlecht bitten, mir meine Speisekarte zu halten. Außerdem bin ich nicht eitel genug, einfach auf irgendetwas zu tippen und es zu bestellen. Nicht auszudenken, was mir dann serviert wird. Möglicherweise „La Tête de Veau“ – Kalbskopf. Nein danke. Also: Ich trage jetzt eine Lesebrille mit mir herum.

Nun ist es aber so, dass ein klassisches Brillenetui ziemlich viel Platz in einer Handtasche einnimmt. Platz, der in einer Clutch oder einer kleinen Tasche zum Ausgehen definitiv nicht vorhanden ist. Aber wie so oft: Dieses Problem hatten schon viele vor mir – und es gibt eine Lösung. In meinem Fall heißt sie NOOZ.

Die NOOZ Lesebrille wird ultraflach, wenn man sie zusammendrückt, und passt in ein sehr stabiles, ultraflaches Etui, das natürlich mitgeliefert wird. Dieses Etui passt wirklich in jede Handtasche oder sogar in eine Anzugtasche. Quasi die „Air-Version“ unter den Brillen. Die Brille rastet im Etui fest ein und fällt nicht heraus. Zum Herausnehmen drückt man sie einfach wieder leicht zusammen. Wirklich genial.
Es gibt sie in verschiedenen Stärken, Designs und sogar als halbe Brillen – perfekt, um diesen leicht strengen Blick aufzusetzen. Mache ich natürlich nur zu gerne Gebrauch von. Ist ja Ehrensache. Meine kleinste Version habe ich übrigens „Fräulein Rottenmeier“ getauft.

Ich kann euch so eine ultraflache Lesebrille wirklich als Ersatz für die berühmte „Armverlängerung“ empfehlen. Die Qualität ist super und vor allem ist sie immer dabei.

PS: NOOZ Brillen sind übrigens auch ein schönes Geschenk – für Vielflieger, Geschäftsreisende oder alle, die gerne kleine Taschen tragen.

The passage of time is relentless – not only for my furniture, but unfortunately also for my eyes. These days, my arm is no longer long enough in dim lighting to read small print like menus. And I can hardly ask the person across from me to hold my menu. I’m also not quite vain enough to just point at something and order it blindly. Who knows what I might end up with. Possibly “La Tête de Veau” – calf’s head. No thanks. So: I now carry reading glasses with me.

The problem, however, is that a classic glasses case takes up quite a bit of space in a handbag. Space that simply doesn’t exist in a clutch or a small bag for going out. But as is often the case: many people had this problem before me – and there is a solution. In my case, it’s called NOOZ.

NOOZ glasses (affiliate link) become completely flat when you gently press them together and fit into a very sturdy, ultra-flat case. This case really fits into any handbag or even a suit pocket. Basically the “Air version” of glasses. The glasses click securely into the case and won’t fall out. To take them out, you simply press them together again. Really clever.

They come in different strengths, designs, and even as half-frame glasses – perfect for giving that slightly strict look. I use that feature quite happily, of course. It’s only proper. I’ve even named my smallest pair “Fräulein Rottenmeier”.

I can genuinely recommend this kind of glasses as a replacement for the classic “arm extension.” The quality is great – and most importantly, they are always with you.

Was ich häufig zu meinen NOOZ Lesebrillen gefragt werde

Letzten Sommer hatte ich das dringende Bedürfnis, etwas an meiner „Deo-Strategie“ zu ändern. Ich will nicht sagen, mein Deo hätte ein Totalversagen hingelegt, aber es hätte auch besser funktionieren können.

Das Problem bei Deos, die gut funktionieren, sind die Inhaltsstoffe. Meistens enthalten sie Aluminiumsalze, und das wollen wir uns nun wirklich nicht mehr unter den Arm schmieren. Ich habe also recherchiert und herausgefunden, dass es Deo und Antitranspirant gibt, wobei ein Antitranspirant das Schwitzen eher komplett verhindern soll. Und da sind wir wieder bei Aluminiumsalzen. Natürliche Antitranspirantien enthalten viel Salbei und wirken leider nur semi gut – zumindest bei mir.

Meiner Recherche nach bekamen natürliche Deos die besten Bewertungen, wenn sie Zinkoxid und Bicarbonat (Natron) enthalten. Diese Deos verhindern nicht das Schwitzen, aber sowohl Natron als auch Zinkoxid verhindern die Geruchsbildung, die durch Bakterien entsteht, wenn sie den Schweiß zersetzen. (Mal sehr unfachmännisch ausgedrückt.)

Ich habe seitdem einige solcher Deocremes ohne Aluminium getestet und bin wirklich begeistert. Diese Deos helfen tatsächlich gegen Schweißgeruch. Ich kann inzwischen von mir behaupten, dass ich selbst nach dem Sport keine unangenehmen Gerüche verströme. Und meine Besucher, die ein Deo von mir testen, steigen danach sofort um. Eine Freundin hat so gejammert, weil sie glaubte, keinen Tag länger ohne mein Deo auszuhalten, dass ich ihr am Ende meinen Vorrat geschenkt habe.

Sehr gut gefällt mir unter anderem diese Deocreme von Greendoor Naturkosmetik (Affiliate Link). Sie hat eine tolle Konsistenz, passt vom Preis, ist extrem ergiebig und die Yuca-App bewertet sie ebenfalls sehr gut. Allerdings habe ich auch Deos von kleinen Manufakturen getestet, die oft auf Märkten verkauft werden. Die waren ebenfalls alle prima.

Da diese Deos nicht in irgendeinem Billiglohnland mit den günstigsten Inhaltsstoffen und unter fragwürdigen Bedingungen produziert werden, sondern oft sogar in Handarbeit entstehen, ist der Preis etwas höher. Aber ich kann euch versichern: Diese Deos sind extrem ergiebig. Wo 6 Monate draufsteht, sind auch 6 Monate drin. Ach ja – das Nachschmieren fällt übrigens auch weg. Anfangs hatte ich noch ein kleines Döschen in der Handtasche. Das hätte ich mir sparen können. Einmal aufgetragen, halten diese Deocremes nämlich wirklich lange.

Last summer, I felt a strong need to change something about my “deodorant strategy.” I wouldn’t say my deodorant completely failed, but it definitely could have worked better.

The problem with deodorants that actually work is usually the ingredients. Most of them contain aluminum salts, and that’s something we really don’t want to keep putting on our skin. So I did some research and found out that there’s a difference between deodorants and antiperspirants. Antiperspirants are designed to stop sweating altogether – and that’s where aluminum salts come in again. Natural antiperspirants often contain a lot of sage, but unfortunately, they only work moderately well – at least for me.

From what I found, natural deodorants tend to work best when they contain zinc oxide and bicarbonate (baking soda). These deodorants don’t stop you from sweating, but both baking soda and zinc oxide help prevent odor, which is caused by bacteria breaking down sweat. (Very unscientifically explained.)

Since then, I’ve tried several of these aluminum-free deodorant creams, and I’m honestly impressed. They really do help with body odor. I can now say that even after working out, I don’t have any unpleasant smells. And whenever someone visiting me tries one of my deodorants, they switch immediately. One friend complained so much about not being able to live without it that I ended up giving her my entire supply.

One of my favorites is this deodorant cream by Greendoor Naturkosmetik (Affiliate Link). It has a great texture, is reasonably priced, extremely long-lasting, and the Yuca app rates it very well. That said, I’ve also tried deodorants from small manufacturers, often sold at local markets, and they were all really good too.

Since these deodorants aren’t mass-produced in low-cost countries with the cheapest ingredients and questionable working conditions, but are often even made by hand, the price is a bit higher. But I can assure you: they last a very long time. If it says six months, it really does last six months. And reapplying during the day is not necessary either. At first, I used to carry a small container in my bag – completely unnecessary. Once applied, these deodorant creams really last.

Freunde von mir sagen oft: Tonja, im Winter siehst du vollkommen anders aus als im Sommer – und da kann ich ihnen nur zustimmen.
Während Sommer-Tonja ziemlich bunt und hippielastig unterwegs ist, ist Winter-Tonja eher sportlich und fast schon ein bisschen düster. Mein Sommer-Ich ist immer für hübschen Krimskrams zu haben: ein bis zehn Armbändchen hier, ein Fußkettchen da, ein paar Fransen an der Tasche, und eine Feder im Haar kann auch nie schaden.
Wohingegen mein Winter-Ich Schwarz liebt, bequeme sportliche Leggings zu schätzen weiß und an flauschigen Kleidungsstücken nur schwer vorbeigehen kann.

Auf den Fotos seht ihr Winter-Tonja, wie sie leibt und lebt – meistens in meiner schwarzen Stronger Leggings (Affiliate Link), die ich aktuell wirklich ständig trage.
Besonders erwähnen muss ich hier die Jacke von „Stronger Label“, denn die ist wirklich ein absoluter Kuschelhammer. Wenn man sie einmal angezogen hat, gibt man sie nicht mehr her. Und da sie oversized geschnitten ist, kann man problemlos noch einen Pullover darunter tragen, ohne dass irgendetwas einengt.
Leider gibt es genau dieses Modell aktuell nicht mehr – was ein bisschen schade ist, aber auch typisch für solche Lieblingsteile.
Was ich aber weiterhin ständig trage, ist meine schwarze Stronger Leggings. Die ziehe ich nicht nur beim Sport an, sondern genauso im Alltag – einfach, weil sie bequem ist und trotzdem gut aussieht. Für mich ist das inzwischen so ein typisches „zieht man schnell an und passt immer“-Teil geworden.

Generell habe ich gerade eine kleine Schwäche für die Sachen von Stronger. STRONGER ist eine schwedische Activewear-Marke, und ich mag vor allem die Mischung aus Funktion und schlichtem Design. Die Qualität fühlt sich gut an, und die Teile lassen sich eben nicht nur beim Sport tragen, sondern auch ganz normal im Alltag.
Meine schwarze Stronger Leggings trage ich zum Beispiel ständig – egal ob beim Training oder einfach so unterwegs. Wenn du dir die aktuellen Modelle anschauen möchtest, kannst du direkt bei Stronger schauen. Darüber habe ich hier schon einmal ein bisschen ausführlicher geschrieben.

PS: Ich bin 174 cm groß. Mir passt eigentlich M, aber ich kaufe bei Stronger meistens L, weil die Sachen dann einfach noch ein bisschen bequemer sitzen.

Friends of mine often say: Tonja, in winter you look completely different than in summer – and I honestly have to agree with them.

While summer-Tonja is quite colorful and a bit on the hippie side, winter-Tonja is more sporty and almost a little dark. My summer self loves all the little pretty extras: one to ten bracelets here, an anklet there, some fringes on a bag, and honestly, a feather in the hair never hurts.
Whereas my winter self loves black, appreciates comfortable sporty leggings, and finds it very hard to walk past anything soft and cozy.

In the photos you see winter-Tonja, exactly as she is – most of the time in my black Stronger leggings (affiliate link), which I’m currently wearing all the time.

I especially have to mention the jacket from “Stronger Label”, because it’s honestly an absolute cozy dream. Once you put it on, you don’t want to take it off again. And since it’s oversized, you can easily wear a sweater underneath without feeling restricted.
Unfortunately, this exact model is no longer available, which is a bit of a shame – but also typical for favorite pieces like this.

What I still wear all the time, though, is my black Stronger leggings. I don’t just wear them for workouts, but also in everyday life – simply because they’re comfortable and still look good. For me, they’ve become one of those “just throw them on and it always works” pieces.

Right now, I definitely have a bit of a soft spot for Stronger pieces. STRONGER is a Swedish activewear brand, and I especially like the mix of function and clean design. The quality feels good, and the pieces aren’t just for working out – they fit into everyday life really easily.

Ich bin wirklich lange um dieses „Crochet Dress“ (Affiliate Link) von Aurobelle Ibiza herumgeschlichen. Nicht, weil ich mir nicht sicher war, ob es in natura so schön ist wie auf den Fotos, sondern weil ich mich gefragt habe, ob man so ein Kleid mit 50 noch tragen sollte. Als im Etsy Shop nur noch drei verfügbar waren, habe ich es gewagt und dieses traumhaft schöne Häkelkleid bestellt.

Und ich bin zu dem Schluss gekommen: Ja, kann man. Und zwar sehr gut. Vor allem am Strand.

Das Crochet Dress ist super weich und trägt sich unglaublich angenehm. Es ist ein handgemachtes, langärmeliges Boho Crochet Dress aus leichter Bio-Baumwolle mit einem tiefen, offenen Rückenausschnitt, was es zu einem echten Ibiza-Kleid macht – luftig, ein bisschen sexy, aber trotzdem entspannt.

Allerdings muss ich zugeben, dass ich am Rücken je einen kleinen Abnäher eingearbeitet habe. Das habe ich von Hand gemacht und es hat genau zehn Minuten gedauert. Und „ich“ heißt in diesem Fall eigentlich meine Mutter und ich – alleine komme ich da hinten nicht ran. Meine Mutter ist in Sachen Nähen sowieso mein Partner in Crime. Sie hat mir das Nähen überhaupt erst beigebracht.

Wir haben früher quasi alles selbst genäht, weil es im Osten ja keine schönen Sachen zu kaufen gab. Ich erinnere mich an wirklich süße Teile, aber auch an einige grauenvolle Missgeschicke. OMG. Da gab es dieses Kleid zu meiner Jugendweihe 🙈 Ich falle heute noch vor Lachen vom Stuhl, wenn ich Fotos davon sehe. Sorry, Mom – Du hast Dich damals durchgesetzt, aber dieses Kleid … 🤣🙈🤷‍♀️.

Aber zurück zu meinem Crochet Dress: Es ist einfach wunderschön und ich liebe es. Es ist genau so ein Kleid, das man in den Urlaub mitnimmt – leicht, unkompliziert und perfekt für heiße Tage. So wie auch meine Pitusa Kleider, über die ich hier schon einmal geschrieben habe.

I circled around this “crochet dress” (Affiliate Link) from Aurobelle Ibiza for quite a while. Not because I wasn’t sure if it would look as beautiful in real life as it does in the photos, but because I wasn’t sure if you can still wear a dress like this at 50. When there were only three left in the Etsy shop, I went for it and ordered this absolutely stunning crochet dress.

And I’ve come to the conclusion: yes, you absolutely can. And very well, too. Especially at the beach.

The crochet dress is incredibly soft and very comfortable to wear. It’s made from lightweight organic cotton, has long sleeves and a deep open back, which gives it that true boho Ibiza feel—light, a little bit sexy, but still relaxed.

I do have to admit, though, that I added a small dart at the back. I did it by hand and it took exactly ten minutes. And “I” in this case really means my mother and me—I can’t exactly sew the back while wearing the dress. My mother has always been my partner in crime when it comes to sewing. She’s actually the one who taught me everything.

We used to sew almost everything ourselves, because back in East Germany there simply weren’t many nice clothes to buy. I remember some really cute pieces, but also a few truly terrible mishaps. OMG. There was this dress I wore for my Jugendweihe 🙈 I still laugh so hard when I see photos of it. Sorry, Mom—you won back then, but that dress… 🤣🙈🤷‍♀️

But back to my crochet dress: it’s simply beautiful and I love it. It’s exactly the kind of dress you pack for a vacation—light, uncomplicated, and perfect for hot days. Just like my Pitusa dresses, which I’ve also written about here.

Ich weiß, Unterwäsche sollte aus Baumwolle sein, am besten aus Bio-Baumwolle, ökologisch und fair. Und da kommen wir auch schon zu dem „sauerländischen“ Ausdruck für Unterhöschen: Unterbuchse oder auch Pümper. Denn ja, so sieht es in der Bio- und Fair-Abteilung für Damenunterwäsche meist aus. Sportliche Unterwäsche ist kein Problem, aber manchmal ist sportlich einfach nicht angesagt. Und glaubt mir dieser ganze Shapewear Mist … Ich halte nichts davon. Für Stars auf dem roten Teppich oder Fotoshootings – ok. Aber als DRUNTER für einen besonderen Anlass? Stell dir vor: Du trägst das schönste Kleid auf Erden und nachdem ein Typ oder dein Mann dich aus dem Kleid geschält hat,… bekommt er vermutlich den Schock seines Lebens 😂🙈. Die Sexyness von Shapewear ist unbestritten einfach nicht vorhanden.

Die Französin weiß mal wieder, wie es tatsächlich geht: Lingerie heißt das Zauberwort, denn manchmal muss es eben so etwas wie Spitze sein.
Ich habe da die Tage bei H&M ein paar niedliche Teile entdeckt.

PS: Da wir gerade Sommer haben und weiße Spitze auf gebräunter Haut noch mit einem dezenten Goldglimmer getoppt werden kann, habe ich euch auch mein Nuxe „Huile Prodigieuse Or“ dazu verlinkt. I know, underwear should be made of cotton, preferably organic, ecological and fair. And that brings us to the „Sauerland“ expression for underpants: Unterbuchse or also Pümper. Because yes, that’s how it usually looks in the organic and fair department for women’s underwear. Sporty underwear is no problem, but sometimes sporty is just not in. And believe me all this shapewear crap … I don’t think much of it. For stars on the red carpet or photo shoots – ok. But as DRUNTER for a special occasion? Imagine: You’re wearing the most beautiful dress on earth and after a guy or your husband peels you out of it… he probably gets the shock of his life 😂🙈. The sexyness of shapewear is indisputably just not there.

The French woman knows once again how it really works: Lingerie is the magic word, because sometimes it has to be something like lace.
I have discovered there the days at H&M a few cute parts.

Erinnert ihr euch noch an den Hype mit diesen süßen Metallic Flash Tattoo? Mir sind meine Überbleibsel dieses Hypes letztens wieder in die Hände gefallen und ich dachte, dass man sich durchaus mal wieder so ein süßes Flash-Tattoo aufkleben könnte.
Nun mögen mich die tätowierten Ärmelinhaber belächeln, aber es geht mir schließlich nicht darum, tätowiert zu sein. Mir gefällt einfach das Geglitzer.

So ein Metallic-Tattoo ist wie Schmuck, man kann es einfach ablegen, wechseln und passend zum Kleidchen tragen. Außerdem kann man es mit seinem Schmuck kombinieren. Und ihr müsst zugeben, dass dieses Glitzerzeugs auf gebräunter Haut mehr als nur nett aussieht.

Als wir gestern an einem Beachclub zum Dinner waren, haben mehrere Mädels mein glitzerndes „Abziehbildchen“ bewundert und liebevoll gestreichelt. Ich würde mal sagen, noch immer absolut salonfähig.

Do you remember the hype with these cute metallic flash tattoos? My remnants of this hype fell into my hands again the other day and I thought that you could stick on such a cute flash tattoo again.
Now the tattooed sleeve owners may smile at me, but I’m not about being tattooed after all. I just like the glitter.

Such a metallic tattoo is like jewelry, you can easily take it off, change it and wear it to match your dress. Plus, you can match it with your jewelry. And you have to admit that this glitter stuff looks more than nice on tanned skin.

When we were at a beach club for dinner yesterday, several girls admired and lovingly caressed my glittery „decal“. I would say still absolutely presentable.

Letztes Jahr schrieb ich über meinen kleinen Sommer-Liebling, das Armband „Maui“ von Alexfeinwerk. (Könnt ihr hier nachlesen) Ich habe es nur einmal abgenommen und sehr gut weggepackt, damit ich es nicht verliere. Tja, so gut weggepackt, dass ich es nie wieder gefunden habe. Ich habe es quasi vor mir selbst versteckt. Trotz mehrfachen Suchens ist mein kleiner Liebling nicht wieder aufgetaucht.

Jetzt sind seine 2 Geschwister bei mir eingezogen: Auch die Geschwisterchen, haben ein süßes, buntes Bändchen, einen kleinen Muschelanhänger und einen Anhänger aus Süßwasserperle mit Amazonit.
Ratet, was ich den ganzen Sommer nicht tun werde. Jep, sie abnehmen. Nun dürfen sie mit mir an den Strand, im Meer schwimmen und meine Lieblingskosmetikprodukte benutzen, wie zuvor schon das Schwesterchen. Aber sie müssen auch Geschirrspülen, Fensterputzen und wischen. Ich befürchte, das wird ihre Lebenszeit ein wenig verkürzen, aber generell halten die kleinen „Schmuckstücke“ von Alexfeinwerk ja ziemlich viel aus.

Last year I wrote about my little summer favorite, the „Maui“ bracelet from Alexfeinwerk. (You can it here) I only took it off once and packed it away very well so I wouldn’t lose it. Well, packed it away so well that I never found it again. I sort of hid it from myself. Despite several searches, my little darling has not reappeared.

Now his 2 siblings have moved in with me: The siblings too, have a cute colorful ribbon, a small shell pendant and a freshwater pearl pendant with amazonite.
Guess what I won’t be doing all summer? Yep, take them off. Now they get to go to the beach with me, swim in the ocean, and use my favorite beauty products, just like sis did before. But they also have to wash dishes, wash windows and mop. I’m afraid that will shorten their life a little, but generally the little „jewels“ of Alexfeinwerk hold quite a lot.

Ja, ich liebe Leggings. Sie sind bequem und anpassungsfähig, was beispielsweise nach Weihnachten außerordentlich praktisch ist. Außerdem kneifen sie nicht in frisch angeschaffte Speckröllchen, und einen Knopf muss man auch nicht öffnen, wenn man im Restaurant doch noch ein Tiramisu verdrückt hat.
Dabei hat die olle, ausgeleierte Baumwollleggings längst ausgedient, und mir persönlich haben es auch eher die stylischen Leggings hipper Fitnesslabels angetan.

Ob sich die Hersteller dieser schicken Fitnessklamotten das so vorgestellt haben? Frau Besler, 50 Jahre, bewegungsunfähig, vollgestopft mit Cheesecake – und selig, dass ihre Hose nicht platzen kann, weil sie so schön nachgiebig ist? Vermutlich nicht, denn fotografiert werden die Klamotten meist in Fitnessstudios mit überirdisch durchtrainierten Menschen, die meinen Cheesecake höchstens heimlich anschmachten, weil kein Gluten, kein Zucker, kein Getreide … (Mittlerweile gehöre ich auch dazu 🙈😂.)
Um die Hersteller zu beruhigen: Manchmal trage ich die Leggings auch zum Sport.

Mein aktuelles Lieblingsbrand für diese äußerst praktische Bekleidung heißt STRONGER Label. Ich liebe die Muster, die Farben und die Qualität. Ich trage die Stronger Leggings tatsächlich oft in meiner Freizeit und kombiniere sie mit Longshirts. Darüber habe ich hier auf dem Blog schon einmal geschrieben.

PS: Mir passt M (auch laut der Größentabelle), aber ich trage meine Stronger Leggings lieber in L, weil insbesondere die Hosen mit den ganz breiten Gummis so etwas bequemer sind (nachgiebiger sozusagen 😂).

Yes, I love leggings. They’re comfortable and adaptable, which is especially practical after Christmas. They don’t dig into newly acquired little rolls, and you don’t have to unbutton anything when you end up having a tiramisu at the restaurant after all.

The old, worn-out cotton leggings have long had their day, and personally I’ve developed a soft spot for the more stylish leggings from trendy fitness brands.

Did the designers of these chic fitness clothes imagine this kind of situation? Mrs. Besler, 50 years old, unable to move, stuffed with cheesecake – and perfectly happy that her leggings won’t burst because they’re so wonderfully stretchy? Probably not, since these outfits are usually photographed in gyms with almost unreal, perfectly trained people who would at most secretly admire my cheesecake, because no gluten, no sugar, no grains … (and meanwhile, I kind of belong to that group too 🙈😂).

Just to reassure the brands: sometimes I actually wear the leggings for workouts.

My current favorite brand for this kind of practical clothing is STRONGER Label. I love the patterns, the colors, and the quality. I wear my Stronger leggings quite often in everyday life and combine them with long shirts. I’ve already written a bit more about it here on the blog.

PS: I’m usually a size M (according to the size chart as well), but I prefer my Stronger leggings in L, especially because the ones with the wider waistbands feel a bit more comfortable (more forgiving, so to speak 😂).
