Von einem Nahrungsergänzungsmittel hatte ich ein paar wirklich hübsche und praktische Apothekengläser mit Schraubverschluss übrig. Viel zu schade für den Glasmüll. Als ich mir die Gläser so ansah, dachte ich mir, sie wären perfekt als neue Apothekengläser für Gewürze und Kräuter.
Außerdem hatten meine bisherigen Gewürzgläser dringend ein Update nötig – sie wurden etwas unansehnlich. Nach einem kurzen Check, ob die Apothekengläser auch wirklich in meine Schublade passen, war ich Feuer und Flamme, sie als neue Kräuter- und Gewürzgläser zu nutzen.

Leider hatte ich natürlich nicht genügend von diesen Apothekengläsern für all meine Kräuter und Gewürze. Und ich möchte jetzt auch nicht bis ans Ende meiner Tage diese Nahrungsergänzungsmittel nehmen, nur um meine Gewürzsammlung umfüllen zu können. Denn eines ist sicher: Ich hasse Durcheinander in meinen Schubladen.
Also habe ich mich online auf die Suche gemacht und tatsächlich fast identische Apothekengläser für Gewürze und Kräuter gefunden. Der Deckel war zwar ein wenig anders, aber damit konnte ich leben.

Da der Stil der Apothekengläser gut zum „Natural Style“ passt, wollte ich natürlich auch Aufkleber, die dazu passen. Dabei bin ich auf Kraftpapieraufkleber gestoßen. Ich habe runde Aufkleber für die Deckel bestellt, damit ich von oben direkt sehen kann, was in den Kräuter- und Gewürzgläsern ist. Außerdem größere für die Gläser selbst – falls ich sie in ein Regal stelle oder liegend aufbewahre.

Passende Aufkleber für Apothekengläser im Natural Style

Ein kleiner Tipp: Die Deckel meiner Apothekengläser haben einen Durchmesser von 5 cm, also habe ich gezielt nach Aufklebern mit 4 cm Durchmesser gesucht. Achtet darauf, falls ihr euch auch solche Gläser zulegen wollt, denn die meisten Aufkleber haben einen Durchmesser von 5 cm.
Außerdem gibt es die Gläser in verschiedenen Größen, was ziemlich praktisch ist – von manchen Gewürzen habe ich gerne auch ein wenig mehr im Haus.
Ich liebe es übrigens, wenn in meinen Schubladen alles aufgeräumt und ordentlich aussieht. Gerade solche kleinen Helfer machen den Unterschied. Im Bad habe ich das Problem mit der Unordnung zum Beispiel mit kleinen Drehtellern gelöst – darüber habe ich hier schon einmal geschrieben.

I had a few really beautiful and practical apothecary jars with screw lids left over from a dietary supplement. Far too nice to throw away. When I looked at them, I thought they would be perfect as new apothecary jars for spices and herbs.
My old spice jars were also in need of an update – they had become a bit worn. After a quick check to see if the apothecary jars would actually fit into my drawer, I was completely convinced to use them as my new spice and herb jars.

Of course, I didn’t have enough of these jars for all my spices and herbs. And I’m definitely not going to keep taking that supplement forever just to complete my collection. One thing is certain: I hate clutter in my drawers.
So I started looking online and actually found almost identical apothecary jars for spices and herbs. The lid was slightly different, but I could live with that.
Since the style of the jars fits perfectly with a natural look, I also wanted matching labels. I came across kraft paper labels and ordered round ones for the lids, so I can see from above what’s inside. I also got larger labels for the jars themselves, in case I store them on a shelf or lying down.

A small tip: The lids of my jars have a diameter of 5 cm, so I specifically looked for labels with a diameter of 4 cm. Keep that in mind if you want to recreate this, as most labels come in 5 cm.
The jars are also available in different sizes, which is really practical – for some spices I like to keep a bit more on hand.
I really love it when everything in my drawers looks neat and organized. These small details make such a difference for me. In my bathroom, for example, I solved a similar organization issue with small rotating trays – I’ve written about that here before.

Das Muster „Toile de Jouy“ hat diese Renaissance schon mehrfach erlebt, denn laut Wikipedia stammt es aus dem 17. Jahrhundert.

Aktuell ist „Toile de Jouy“ jedenfalls wieder ziemlich in Mode. Ich persönlich finde es im Dekobereich schöner. Vermutlich aus nostalgischen Gründen, denn ja, auch in unserem Haushalt gab es in meiner Kindheit Geschirr in diesem Stil. Unser Geschirr hatte den klassischen Rotton, und wenn ich mich tief genug in die Schränke meiner Eltern hineinwage, finden sich bestimmt noch einige Stücke von damals.
Im Garten des Chambre d’hôtes Fontaine de Cérier macht sich die blaue Toile de Jouy Tischdecke von Dekoria (Affiliate Link) jedenfalls ganz traumhaft.

Um seine Gäste zum Staunen zu bringen, braucht man generell nicht viel. Es sind nicht die luxuriösesten Kerzenständer und teuersten Blumengestecke nötig, um eine besondere Atmosphäre für ein Lunch oder Dinner zu kreieren.
Es gibt da so eine Fernsehsendung, in der es eigentlich ums Kochen geht, aber ein bisschen auch immer um die Tischdekoration. Ich schwöre euch, da würde ich gerne mal dazwischenhauen und aufräumen. Nein, nein, nein: Der ganze Killefitt muss nicht sein!

Das Geheimnis eines stilvollen Tisches beginnt mit einer guten Tischdecke, und die kann ein Leben lang halten. Ich als ehemalige Dekorateurin würde auch empfehlen, noch in passende Stoffservietten zu investieren. Damit ist auch schon die Grundlage geschaffen, um aus einem normalen Esstisch einen Tisch zu zaubern, an dem ihr mit euren Gästen einen unvergesslichen Abend verbringen könnt.

Nehmen wir als Beispiel den folgenden Tisch! Könnt ihr euch vorstellen, was für ein Lunch hier stattgefunden hat? Die lachenden Gäste, glücklich mit einem einfachen Salat und frischem Brot? Dazu ein guter Wein und als Dessert die ersten süßen Erdbeeren des Sommers? Und ist der Tisch nicht ein Traum? Ich wette, der eine oder andere hätte ihn fotografiert.

Das Wichtigste Accessoire für diesen natürlichen Look ist die Leinendecke. Diese stammt von „Dekoria“ und man kann sie sogar in der passenden Größe anfertigen lassen. Und wie ich es vorher schon empfohlen habe, wurde der Tisch mit den passenden Leinenservietten eingedeckt. Ein eingedeckter Tisch schafft immer eine besondere Atmosphäre! Für diesen natürlichen Tisch schmückt ihr die Servietten einfach mit ein paar Gräsern oder Kräutern. Und wenn es draußen windig ist, kann man das Besteck ruhig auch mal auf der Serviette anordnen.
In die Mitte des Tisches könnt ihr eine Ranke legen. In diesem Fall war es Wein, aber Efeu geht auch immer. Dazu verteilt einfach ein paar Tomaten auf dem Tisch, wie in diesem Fall. Aber man kann zu jeglichem Gemüse oder auch zu Äpfeln oder Birnen greifen, was farblich harmoniert und keine Fliegen anzieht.
Noch Essig, Öl und Wein auf den Tisch – und fertig ist die mediterrane Tischdekoration. Wer Essig und Öl in hübschen Flaschen aufbewahrt, hat es in diesem Fall noch einfacher. Das schöne schwarze Geschirr auf unserem Tisch stammt übrigens auch aus dem „Dekoria“-Onlineshop.
Und was meint ihr – ist der Tisch nicht auch ohne viel Tamtam ein Traum?

PS: Für so eine „Draußen-Deko“ solltet ihr wegen der Brandgefahr zurzeit unbedingt auf Kerzen und offenes Feuer verzichten.

There’s this TV show that’s actually about cooking, but it always seems to focus a bit on table decoration too. Honestly, I’d love to step in and tidy things up. No, no, no – all that fuss just isn’t necessary!

The secret to a stylish table starts with a good tablecloth, and that can last a lifetime. As a former decorator, I’d also recommend investing in matching cloth napkins. That already lays the foundation for turning an ordinary dining table into a place where you and your guests can enjoy an unforgettable evening.

Take the following table as an example! Can you imagine the kind of lunch that might have taken place here? Guests laughing, happy with a simple salad and fresh bread? A good wine to go with it, and for dessert, the first sweet strawberries of summer? And isn’t the table itself a dream? I bet more than one guest would have snapped a photo.

The most important accessory for this natural look is the linen tablecloth. This one is from „Dekoria,“ and you can even have it made to measure. And just as I suggested earlier, the table was set with matching linen napkins. A properly set table always creates a special atmosphere! In countries where food plays a big role, tables in restaurants are always set – and I absolutely love that.

In the center of the table, you can lay down a vine. In this case, it was grapevine, but ivy always works too. Then scatter a few tomatoes across the table, as we did here. But you can just as easily use any kind of vegetable, or even apples or pears – anything that harmonizes in color and won’t attract flies.
