Wann wart ihr das letzte Mal im Zirkus? Ich kann mich an meinen letzten Zirkusbesuch tatsächlich nicht erinnern. Das war vermutlich in Kindertagen.
Durch einen Zufall waren wir im Januar beim Festival du Cirque Monte Carlo, das schon zum dreiundvierzigsten Mal ausgetragen wurde. Ich hatte mich darauf gefreut, aber so richtig wusste ich nicht, was mich erwartet.
Wow, ich war einfach sprachlos. Die Stimmung und Atmosphäre im Zirkuszelt waren großartig und die Kostüme der Artisten einfach der Wahnsinn. Die Leistungen der Künstler natürlich auch. Ein wunderschöner Abend.
Ich habe versucht, ein paar Fotos zu machen, was gar nicht so einfach war, weil die Artisten natürlich immer in Action waren. Außerdem fotografiert man gegen Strahler und Scheinwerferlicht. Ein paar schöne Bilder vom Festival du Cirque Monte Carlo 2019 habe ich dennoch einfangen können.
PS: 2024 konnte ich mich übrigens noch einmal dazu hinreißen lassen, während der Vorstellung zu fotografieren. Normalerweise bin ich so gebannt von der Show, dass ich vor lauter Staunen und Atemanhalten kaum dazu komme, Fotos zu machen. Den Post findet ihr hier.

When was the last time you went to the circus? I honestly cannot remember my last circus visit. It was probably when I was a child.
By chance, we went to the Festival du Cirque Monte Carlo in January, which was held for the forty-third time. I had been looking forward to it, but I did not really know what to expect.
Wow, I was simply speechless. The mood and atmosphere inside the circus tent were wonderful and the artists’ costumes were absolutely amazing. Their performances, of course, were too. A beautiful evening.
I tried to take a few photos, which was not easy at all, because the artists were naturally always in action. You also have to photograph against spotlights and stage lights. Still, I managed to capture a few beautiful pictures from the Festival du Cirque Monte Carlo 2019.
PS: In 2024, by the way, I let myself be tempted once again to try taking photos during the performance. Normally, I am so captivated by the show that, between all the amazement and holding my breath, I hardly manage to take any pictures. You can find that post here.
