GRAUER WINTERTAG & ROSENMUSTER

Ein grauer Wintertag ist nur was für drinnen? Von wegen. Auch ein grauer Wintertag verdient es, draußen zelebriert zu werden. So geschehen bei meinem letzten Besuch bei @fontainedecerier an einem Nachmittag kurz vor Weihnachten.

Während @fontainedecerier einen kleinen Snack für uns gezaubert hat, habe ich ein Plätzchen unter einem Olivenbaum für uns hergerichtet. Viel brauchte ich dafür eigentlich nicht.
Ich habe einfach nur mit Schwung die unfassbar schöne Tischdecke mit Rosenmuster von Dekoria über einen Tisch geworfen, etwas Grün in die passende Vase von Dekoria gesteckt, und eine Kerze angezündet, und fertig war unser traumhaftes Plätzchen unter dem Olivenbaum. Das Blumenmuster der Tischdecke ist aber auch sowas von spektakulär, dass man damit jeden Tisch ohne weiteres Gedönse in ein instagramtaugliches Fotomotiv verwandelt.

Und wie das dann bei mir immer so ist, gehen die Kissen ähh Pferde mit mir durch. Die Kissen durften dann nicht mehr auf der Steinbank liegen, sondern MUSSTEN lasziv auf dem Boden liegen. Wenn schon Pinterest-like, dann auch das volle Programm. @fontainedecerier ist, was das betrifft, in ihrem Metier keinen Deut besser als ich und auch keine große Hilfe in Sachen Bodenhaftung. Nach einem prüfenden Blick nach draußen und einem lauten ohhhhh verschwand sie wieder im Haus und kam nach kurzer Zeit mit dem Instagram-tauglichen Snack zurück. Selbstverständlich war der Bilderbuch-Snack passend auf dem stylischen Geschirr von Dekoria angerichtet und selbstverständlich war der Snack zum Essen fast zu schön. Aber wir wollten ja einen kleinen Snack draußen zelebrieren und so haben wir alles aufgefuttert und uns brav beim Wein zurückgehalten.

A grey winter day is only meant for staying indoors? Not at all. Even a grey winter day deserves to be celebrated outside. That’s exactly what we did during my last visit to @fontainedecerier on an afternoon shortly before Christmas.

While @fontainedecerier prepared a little snack for us, I set up a cozy spot for us under an olive tree. It really didn’t take much.
I simply threw the incredibly beautiful rose-patterned tablecloth from Dekoria over a table with a bit of flair, added some greenery to the matching vase from Dekoria, lit a candle—and just like that, our dreamy little spot under the olive tree was ready. The floral pattern of the tablecloth is so spectacular that it instantly turns any table into an Instagram-worthy setting without any extra fuss.

And as it always happens with me, things got a little out of hand—well, let’s say my enthusiasm did. The cushions were no longer allowed to stay on the stone bench; they absolutely HAD to lie casually on the ground. If we’re going for a Pinterest-like vibe, then all the way. @fontainedecerier, when it comes to this, is no better than I am and definitely not much help in staying grounded. After taking a quick look outside and letting out a loud “ohhhhh,” she disappeared back into the house and returned shortly after with the Instagram-worthy snack. Of course, the picture-perfect snack was beautifully arranged on stylish Dekoria tableware, and of course, it was almost too pretty to eat. But since we wanted to celebrate a little snack outdoors, we ate everything anyway—and behaved ourselves when it came to the wine.
