Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich versprochen, zu verraten, warum ich trotz tausendmaligem Händewaschen pro Tag keine kaputten Hände mehr habe.

Normalerweise habe ich meist aufgerissene Hände, was im Winter besonders schlimm ist. Im letzten Winter war es auf Madeira etwas besser geworden, aber danach ging gar nichts mehr. Eine aufgerissene Stelle an meiner Hand wollte einfach nicht mehr verheilen. Sie hat ständig geblutet und natürlich auch geschmerzt. Selbst die leichte Kortisonhaltige Salbe, zu der ich im schlimmsten Fall manchmal greife, hat nicht mehr geholfen. Was Hautärzte empfehlen habe ich natürlich längst alles probiert.
Und dann kam auch noch „Corona“. Ihr könnt Euch vorstellen, wie toll ich Handdesinfektionsmittel und einemillionmalamtag Händewaschen in Sachen „Corona“ fand.

Mein Freund hatte die Idee endlich mal die schöne Seife auszupacken, die wir im Herbst auf einer kleinen Olivenplantage in Grasse gekauft hatten. In dieser Domaine „La Royrie“ hatte ein Bekannter via „Woofer“ als Erntehelfer gearbeitet, als wir ihn dort besucht hatten. Wir bekamen vom netten Besitzer eine kleine Führung und hatten auch gleich ein bisschen eingekauft. Eigentlich wollte ich über „La Royrie“ immer schon mal berichten, aber die Bilder, die ich gemacht habe, sind bei Regen entstanden und grauenvoll. Ich hatte mir vorgenommen im Frühling bei schönerem Wetter nochmal hinzufahren. Das Olivenöl war super und das haben wir auch direkt aufgebraucht, aber die Seife hatte ich tatsächlich vergessen.
Während der Führung, habe ich zum erstmal von Immortelle gehört, dass in Frankreich als Anti-Aging Wundermittel bekannt ist. Mittlerweile weiß ich, dass Immortelle in der Kräuterkunde auch als Super-Arnika bekannt ist. In Deutschland hat Immortelle, dass wir Currykraut nennen nicht diesen Bekanntheitsgrad.

Wir haben jedenfalls die Seife, übrigens eine Olivenöl-Immortelle-Seife, ausgepackt und mit jedem Händewaschen fühlten sich meine Hände gepflegter an. Nach einer Woche hatte ich keine kaputte Stelle mehr an der Hand und nach zwei Wochen hatte ich die gepflegtesten Hände ever. Ich creme mir meine Hände nur noch ganz selten ein, denn die rückfettende Wirkung der Seife ist einfach unglaublich. Ich kann von mir behaupten, dass ich mittlerweile süchtig nach Händewaschen bin. Wer hätte das gedacht!

Zurzeit teste ich die Seife als Ganzkörper-Seife. Austrocknen der Haut übrigens Fehlanzeige.

Allerdings muss ich hier dazu schreiben, dass diese Seife einen Nachteil hat: Sie wird sehr matschig. Mir persönlich ist das total egal, weil das Ergebnis so unglaublich ist. Ich habe meinen Weg gefunden, mit der Konsistenz klar zu kommen und will auch nichts anderes mehr. Es sieht halt etwas unappetitlich aus im Badezimmer.

Ich hatte mir auch ein Immortelle-Öl gekauft, dass ich zurzeit mit in meine Gesichtscreme und Bodylotion mische. Pur ist der Geruch schon ganz schön intensiv beziehungsweise streng, daher mische ich das Öl unter die Cremes.
Ich werde berichten, ob ich demnächst Babyhaut habe…

Wer in der Gegend von Grasse Urlaub macht, dem kann ich einen Besuch bei „La Royrie“ wirklich empfehlen. Die Inhaber sind super nett und sprechen diverse Sprachen, unter anderem perfekt englisch und französisch. Außerdem vermieten sie auch zwei hübsche Zimmer.

Some time ago I promised to tell you why I no longer have damaged hands despite washing my hands a thousand times a day.

Normally I have mostly damaged hands, which is especially bad in winter. Last winter, it got a little better in Madeira, but after that, nothing worked anymore. A torn open spot on my hand simply did not want to heal anymore. It constantly bled and of course it also hurt. Even the light cortisone ointment, which I sometimes use in the worst case, did not help anymore. Of course I have tried everything that dermatologists recommend.
And then came „Corona“. You can imagine how great I liked hand disinfectants and a million times a day hand washing in „Corona“.

My boyfriend had the idea to finally unpack the beautiful soap we bought in autumn on a small olive plantation in Grasse. In this domaine „La Royrie“ an acquaintance via „Woofer“ had worked as a harvest helper when we had visited him there. We got a little guided tour from the nice owner and also did some shopping. Actually I always wanted to report about „La Royrie“, but the pictures I took were taken in the rain and were terrible. I had planned to go there again in spring when the weather was better. The olive oil was great and we used it up right away, but I had actually forgotten the soap.
During the tour, I heard from Immortelle that in France, anti-aging is a miracle cure. In the meantime I know that Immortelle is also known as Super-Arnica in herbalism. In Germany Immortelle, that we call curry herb, does not have this reputation.

Anyway, we unpacked the soap, by the way an olive oil Immortelle soap, and with every hand washing my hands felt more well-groomed. After one week I didn’t have a broken spot on my hand anymore and after two weeks I had the most groomed hands ever. I now only apply cream to my hands very rarely, because the moisturizing effect of the soap is simply incredible. I can say that I am now addicted to washing my hands. Who would have thought it!

Currently I am testing the soap as a full body soap. Drying of the skin, by the way, is not an option.

However, I have to write here that this soap has one disadvantage: It becomes very muddy. Personally I don’t care at all, because the result is so incredible. I have found my way to deal with the consistency and I don’t want anything else. It just looks a bit unappetizing in the bathroom.

I also bought an Immortelle oil that I currently mix into my face cream and body lotion. The pure smell is quite intense and strong, so I mix the oil into the creams.
I will report if I have baby skin soon…

For those who spend their holidays in the area of Grasse, I can really recommend a visit to „La Royrie“. The owners are super nice and speak several languages, among others perfectly English and French. They also rent out two nice rooms.
