Ich will gar nicht lange in Sachen Valentinstag herumschwafeln, schließlich lasse ich „Valentine“ immer ausfallen. Aber er steht nun mal vor der Tür und hier habe ich einen schönen Tipp für euch. Solche kleinen Geschenke, Überraschungen und schönen Schmuckstücke gehen natürlich nicht nur zum Valentinstag, sondern auch zum Geburtstag, zu Weihnachten oder einfach mal zwischendurch, aber heute möchte ich euch auch an den Valentinstag erinnern.

Ich habe hier auf dem Blog ja schon öfter über den Schmuck meiner Freundin Alex Feinwerk geschrieben. Man kann zum Beispiel einer Freundin, die weiter weg wohnt, oder der Mutter einfach online etwas Schönes aussuchen und direkt dorthin schicken lassen. Gerade kleine Onlineshops wie der von Alex Feinwerk machen das oft mit viel Liebe. Wenn man eine kleine Notiz dazuschreibt, dass es eine Überraschung ist, wird es meistens besonders schön verpackt. Und dann bekommt man von der Freundin im besten Fall einen ganz aufgeregten Anruf mit Quietschen und Kreischen. Ich liebe das ❤️.

I do not want to ramble on about Valentine’s Day for too long, especially since I always skip “Valentine”. But it is just around the corner, and I have a lovely little tip for you. Small gifts, surprises and beautiful pieces of jewelry like these are of course not only lovely for Valentine’s Day, but also for birthdays, Christmas or simply just because. But today, I would like to remind you of Valentine’s Day.

Der Beitrag SCHÖNE GESCHENKE FÜR FRAUEN – ARMBÄNDER VON ALEX FEINWERK erschien zuerst auf Zeitgeist Living.

Als ich bei einem Besuch in Saint-Paul-de-Vence den Ausblick von der Stadtmauer aufs Meer genießen wollte – darüber habe ich hier schon einmal berichtet –, hat mich etwas abgelenkt. Und zwar ein leicht zitroniger Duft. Ich liebe den Duft von Zitrusfrüchten.
Erst dachte ich, es wäre vielleicht das Parfüm einer anderen Touristin, aber der Duft war immer noch da, als die Frau längst weg war. Erst nach einer ganzen Weile ist mir der kleine Laden in dem wunderschönen Haus gegenüber aufgefallen. Obwohl ich schon tausend Fotos davon gemacht hatte, war mir der Laden nie aufgefallen.

Der Laden heißt Madame Chamotte und dort gibt es ganz besondere handgefertigte Duftsteine, Öle und eine Art Peelingstein. Ich habe von der freundlichen Mitarbeiterin eine kleine Vorführung an meiner Hand bekommen – mit Maske, Gel und allem Drum und Dran. Sehr angenehm, ich hätte schnurren können wie eine Katze 🐱.
Entschieden habe ich mich fürs Erste für ein paar Seifen mit Eselsmilch zum Verschenken. Die riechen so zart und toll, dass ich sie am liebsten sofort selbst ausprobieren würde. Mache ich aber nicht, weil ich nämlich eine Freundin habe, die Seifen auch so liebt wie ich, und die wird sich sehr darüber freuen.

Die Dame in dem Geschäft hat mir erklärt, dass man mit der Seife auch eine Gesichtsmaske machen kann. Dafür schäumt man sie auf der Haut auf, lässt sie einwirken und spült sie nach einer Zeit wieder ab. Wer jetzt schreit „Seife im Gesicht“, dem sei gesagt: ja, das geht – aber nur mit den guten, mit den rückfettenden, und nicht mit dem Flüssigzeug aus dem Supermarkt. Probiert das damit bitte nicht.
In dem Laden war ich nicht zum letzten Mal. Wenn ihr mal in Saint-Paul-de-Vence seid, schaut ruhig mal dort vorbei. Es gibt übrigens mehrere Geschäfte namens Madame Chamotte in Frankreich.

PS: Und bevor ihr fragt: Das Armband habe ich von Alex Feinwerk zu Weihnachten bekommen. Ich liebe es sehr und trage es ständig.

When I was visiting Saint-Paul-de-Vence and wanted to enjoy the view of the sea from the city walls – I have already written about that here – something distracted me. A light, lemony scent. I love the smell of citrus fruits.
At first, I thought it might be the perfume of another tourist, but the fragrance was still there long after the woman had gone. Only after quite a while did I notice the little shop in the beautiful house across the street. Even though I had taken a thousand photos of it before, I had never noticed the shop itself.

The shop is called Madame Chamotte, and there you can find very special handcrafted fragrance stones, oils and a kind of exfoliating stone. The friendly shop assistant even gave me a little demonstration on my hand – with mask, gel and all the trimmings. It felt so pleasant, I could have purred like a cat 🐱.
For now, I decided on a few donkey-milk soaps to give as gifts. They smell so delicate and wonderful that I would have loved to try them myself right away. But I did not, because I have a friend who loves soaps just as much as I do, and she will be absolutely delighted.

The lady in the shop explained to me that you can even make a face mask with the soap. You simply lather it up on your skin, let it sit for a while and then rinse it off. And to anyone crying out “soap on the face!” – yes, it works, but only with the good ones, the nourishing ones, not the liquid stuff from the supermarket. Please do not try it with that.
This definitely was not my last visit to the shop. If you ever find yourself in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, make sure to stop by. There are actually several shops called Madame Chamotte in France.

PS: And before you ask: the bracelet was a Christmas gift from Alex Feinwerk. I love it very much and wear it all the time.

Ich habe eine Schwäche für kleine Täschchen. Besonders, wenn sie nicht nur hübsch, sondern auch noch praktisch sind. Wie diese süße, gesteppte Samt iPad-Tasche von Dekoria.

Diese gesteppte Samt iPad-Tasche (Affiliate Link) ist eigentlich für ein Tablet gedacht. Das erklärt auch, warum sie so schön weich gepolstert ist und den Inhalt ziemlich gut schützt. Ich nutze sie allerdings nicht nur fürs iPad, sondern auch als kleines Allround-Täschchen für alles und immer und natürlich auch für unterwegs.
Für Kabel, Kopfhörer, Ladegeräte und all den Kleinkram, der extra verstaut werden muss, weil man die Dinge unterwegs entweder nie findet oder in einem einzigen Kabelknäuel aus der Tasche zieht. Grrrr.

Das Praktische an diesem süßen Samt-Täschchen ist: Man hat damit nicht nur Ordnung in der großen Tasche, sondern im Notfall auch direkt noch ein hübsches kleines Täschchen für den Abend, den Strand oder den Pool dabei.
Und natürlich kann man solche Täschchen nicht nur für Technik benutzen. Schmuck, Kosmetik, Lippenstift, kleine Reisebegleiter oder was auch immer man gerade einpacken muss. Ich liebe solche Sachen ja, insbesondere wenn sie vielseitig nutzbar sind. Frau kann einfach nicht genug davon haben.

Auf den Bildern trage ich außerdem ein Kleid, das es leider nicht mehr gibt, das aber perfekt zu diesem Täschchen passt. Daher hat das Täschchen unterwegs auch schon des Öfteren als Abendtäschchen hergehalten. Aber ihr müsst nicht traurig sein, denn die Täschchen gibt es in vielen Farben 🫶🏻.

Die Rattan-Vasen auf den Fotos gibt es so ebenfalls nicht mehr, aber ich habe ähnliche Modelle gefunden, die gut zu diesem Look passen.

I have a weakness for little pouches. Especially when they are not only pretty, but also practical. Like this sweet, quilted velvet iPad pouch from Dekoria.

I do not only use it for my iPad, though, but also as a little all-round pouch for everything and always and, of course, for when I am out and about.
For cables, headphones, chargers and all the small bits and pieces that need to be stored separately, because otherwise you either never find them when you are out, or you pull them out of your bag as one big cable knot. Grrrr.

The practical thing about this sweet velvet pouch is: not only does it keep your big bag a little more organized, but in an emergency, you also have a pretty little pouch for the evening, the beach or the pool with you.
And of course, you do not have to use these little pouches only for tech things. Jewelry, cosmetics, lipstick, little travel essentials or whatever you need to pack at the moment. I love things like this, especially when they can be used in so many different ways. A woman simply cannot have enough of them.

In the photos, I am also wearing a dress that is unfortunately no longer available, but that matched this pouch perfectly. So this little pouch has already served as an evening bag quite a few times when I was out and about. But you do not have to be sad, because the pouches come in many colors.

Urlaub ist einfach eine herrliche Angelegenheit. Wir verbringen unsere Tage auf Madeira sehr gechillt. Wir entdecken die Insel, wandern oder vertreiben uns die Zeit in Funchal. Alles ganz entspannt. Meine gesammelten Madeira-Reisetipps findet ihr übrigens in diesem Beitrag.

Da das Wetter hier auf Madeira zurzeit ungewöhnlich gut ist – normalerweise regnet es auf Madeira sehr häufig – verbringe ich auch einige Zeit auf der Terrasse unseres Hotels. Das The Vine Hotel in Funchal hat nämlich eine tolle Rooftop-Terrasse mit zwei kleinen Infinity-Pools, einer Bar und einem Restaurant. Von der Terrasse hat man einen mega Blick auf das Meer und die Stadt. Die Terrasse empfehle ich übrigens auch Nicht-Hotelgästen für einen Kaffee oder Cocktail.

Und weil ich meine Alex Feinwerk Tortuga Arm- und Fußbändchen seit dem Sommer ständig mit dabei habe, waren sie natürlich auch mit auf dem Rooftop.

Die herrlichen Temperaturen hier sind außerdem perfekt, um seinen Sommerlieblingen eine kleine Pause vom Winter zu geben. Schon den ganzen Sommer über und auch hier immer mit dabei sind meine Sommerlieblinge von Alex Feinwerk. Diese Lieblingsstücke, die ich euch schon so lange mal richtig zeigen wollte, sind meine süßen Turtles von Alex Feinwerk aus der Tortuga-Serie.

Ich habe ein Armband und passend dazu ein Fußkettchen in meiner Lieblingsfarbe Türkis. Als ich Alex im letzten Jahr persönlich getroffen habe, hat mein Turtle zusätzlich noch eine ozeanische Freundin bekommen, die Alex mir geschenkt hat: eine Kauri. Kauris sind ein bisschen wie Pompons bei mir – die dürfen eigentlich überall dran sein.

Vacation is simply a wonderful thing. We are spending our days on Madeira very relaxed. We explore the island, go hiking or just pass the time in Funchal. Everything is easy and calm. You can find my collected Madeira travel tips in this post.

Since the weather here on Madeira is unusually good at the moment – normally it rains quite often on Madeira – I also spend some time on the terrace of our hotel. The Vine Hotel in Funchal has a beautiful rooftop terrace with two small infinity pools, a bar and a restaurant. From the terrace, you have an amazing view of the sea and the city. By the way, I also recommend the terrace to non-hotel guests for a coffee or a cocktail.

And because I have had my Alex Feinwerk Tortuga bracelet and anklet with me constantly since summer, they obviously had to come with me to the rooftop.

The lovely temperatures here are also perfect for giving your summer favorites a little break from winter. All summer long, and here as well, my summer favorites from Alex Feinwerk have been with me. These favorite pieces, which I have been wanting to properly show you for so long, are my sweet little Turtles by Alex Feinwerk from the Tortuga collection.

I have a bracelet and a matching anklet in my favorite color, turquoise. When I met Alex in person last year, my Turtle also got an ocean-inspired friend that Alex gifted to me: a cowrie shell. Cowrie shells are a bit like pom-poms for me – they can basically go on anything.
