Wie sich das für Luberon Touristen zu dieser Jahreszeit gehört, wollten wir natürlich auch Lavendelfelder sehen. Ganz in der Nähe von Gordes kann man das berühmte Kloster „Abbaye de Sénanque“ besuchen. Das Kloster ist von Lavendelfeldern umgeben und dort gibt es die schönsten Lavendel-Produkte zu kaufen.

Leider ist der Eintritt mit Hund, was ich auch verstehen kann, nicht gestattet. Und da wir Sandras Hund auf keinen Fall bei 34 Grad im Auto lassen wollten, haben wir uns (diesesmal) mit ein paar Bildern durch den Zaun begnügt.

Der Duft, der von dem Lavendelfeld ausging, war einfach unglaublich…

As it is usual for Luberon tourists at this time of the year, we of course wanted to see lavender fields. Very close to Gordes, it is possible to visit the famous monastery „Abbaye de Sénanque“. The monastery is surrounded by lavender fields and there you can buy the most beautiful lavender products.

Unfortunately, the entrance with dog is not allowed, which I can understand. And since we did not want to leave Sandra’s dog in the car at 34 degrees, we were content (this time) with a few pictures through the fence.

The smell that came from the lavender field was simply unbelievable…

PS: Wer den Lavendel in dem Klostergarten noch blühend erleben möchte, was noch ca. zwei bis drei Wochen möglich ist, der sollte sich vorher unbedingt informieren. Da die Lavendelfelder zu einem Kloster gehören und dies ein Ort des Gebets ist, ist angemessene Kleidung für den Besuch erforderlich. Auch Hunde dürfen nicht auf das Gelände.
