Für den perfekten Strandtag an der Côte d’Azur braucht man nicht viel, egal ob man seinen Tag in einem exklusiven Beachclub oder an einem der freien Strände verbringt. Ein paar Dinge sind aber quasi Must-haves.
Das Wichtigste ist natürlich ein kuscheliges Handtuch. Am besten hat man ein dünnes Handtuch, das nicht viel Platz in der Tasche oder gar im Reisegepäck benötigt und mit dem man sich trotzdem gut abtrocknen kann. Idealerweise kann man sich auch noch komplett darin einkuscheln, wenn man aus dem Wasser kommt.
Ein weiteres wichtiges Accessoire ist ein kleines Täschchen, in dem man sein Hab und Gut aufbewahrt: Geld, Kreditkarte, Telefon, Schmuck und den Lieblingslippenstift. Wenn man so ein Täschchen bei sich hat, sucht man nicht ständig in seiner riesigen Strandtasche nach irgendwelchen Sachen. Außerdem hat man dadurch viel einfacher ein Auge auf seine Wertsachen.
So ein Täschchen schnappt man sich einfach, wenn man einen Strandspaziergang unternimmt oder wenn man in einem Beachclub zu Mittag isst. Weshalb das Täschchen natürlich auch unbedingt stylisch sein muss. 🙂
Und da wir nun mittlerweile fast alle erkannt haben, dass wir unseren Planeten ausreichend vollgemüllt haben, finde ich es schön, wenn man bei neuen Anschaffungen ein bisschen genauer hinschaut. Robust, langlebig, praktisch und möglichst fair oder nachhaltig produziert ist immer besser als irgendein Strandkram, den man nach einer Saison wieder ersetzt.
Für mich gehören zu einem schönen Strandtag also vor allem: ein gutes Handtuch, ein kleines Täschchen für Wertsachen, Sonnenbrille, etwas zu trinken und je nach Strand unbedingt auch Schwimmschuhe. Gerade an der Côte d’Azur sind viele Strände steinig, und barfuß sieht man dann manchmal weniger elegant aus, als man vorher dachte.

For the perfect beach day on the Côte d’Azur, you do not need much, whether you spend your day in an exclusive beach club or on one of the public beaches. A few things, however, are almost must-haves.
The most important thing is, of course, a cozy towel. Ideally, you have a thin towel that does not take up much space in your bag or even in your luggage, but still dries you properly. Even better if you can wrap yourself up in it when you come out of the water.
Another important accessory is a small pouch in which you can keep your belongings: money, credit card, phone, jewelry and your favorite lipstick. If you have a little pouch like that with you, you do not constantly have to search through your huge beach bag for random things. It also makes it much easier to keep an eye on your valuables.
You can simply grab this little pouch when you go for a walk on the beach or when you have lunch in a beach club. Which is why, of course, it also needs to be stylish. 🙂
And since most of us have now realized that we have already filled our planet with more than enough rubbish, I like the idea of looking a little more closely when buying new things. Robust, long-lasting, practical and, if possible, fairly or sustainably produced is always better than random beach stuff that needs to be replaced after one season.
For me, a beautiful beach day mainly needs: a good towel, a small pouch for valuables, sunglasses, something to drink and, depending on the beach, definitely water shoes. Especially on the Côte d’Azur, many beaches are pebbly, and barefoot you sometimes look a little less elegant than you had imagined.
