Ihr kennt sicher diese Instagram-Posts der Amerikaner mit ihren XXXXL Monster-Warmhaltetassen, wie beispielsweise den Yeti Rambler Warmhaltetassen (Affiliate Link) in Autos. Diese Tassen mit Henkel, die sich nach unten verjüngen, damit sie überhaupt in die Halterungen eines Autos passen. Gefühlter Inhalt: 7 Liter. Nicht schlecht, sich am Morgen mit 7 Litern Kaffee am Leben zu halten.
Mein erster Chef hat mich mal bei einer sehr frühen Besprechung gefragt: „Frau Besler, wenn Sie die Kaffeetasse jetzt loslassen, kippen Sie dann um?“ Wir haben es übrigens nie ausprobiert 🙈.

Sowohl diese Tassen als auch die Flaschen gibt es in diversen Größen und in den herrlichsten Farben – und sie sind ziemlich cool. Sie können nämlich nicht nur warmhalten, sondern auch kalt. Gibt es das Wort „kalthalten“ überhaupt? Wie auch immer: Heißer Kaffee bleibt lange heiß, ohne dass man sich die Hände verbrennt. Und bei kalten Getränken gibt es einen weiteren Vorteil: Mit Eiswürfeln bleibt alles eiskalt – und das Gefäß schwitzt nicht. Kein Wasser überall, keine Ränder auf dem Holztisch und kein Untersetzer, der am Glas kleben bleibt.

Ich habe vor Jahren in einem Surfshop mein Herz an eine bunte Yeti Rambler Warmhaltetasse (Affiliate Link) verloren 🩵. Natürlich in einer normalen Tassengröße und nicht in der 7-Liter-Variante. Die knalligen Farben der Yeti Rambler – beziehungsweise der gesamten Produktrange – sind nahezu unwiderstehlich. Selbst Barbie würde hier fündig. Außerdem ist das Sortiment, das man mittlerweile in Deutschland bekommt, ziemlich groß. Von kleinen Espressotassen über Weintumbler bis zu Rambler-Flaschen und Kühlboxen ist alles dabei – Dinge, die man nicht unbedingt braucht, aber trotzdem haben möchte.

Da ich meine Yeti Warmhaltetasse in Türkis schon seit Jahren habe und sie immer noch wie neu aussieht, ist es an der Zeit, sie mal zu empfehlen. Laut Hersteller kann man sie in der Spülmaschine reinigen – und das mache ich mittlerweile auch so. Funktioniert problemlos. Auch praktisch: Gummidichtungen und einzelne Teile kann man nachkaufen. Die neueren Modelle sind übrigens sogar stapelbar.

Und weil die Yeti Rambler und Tumbler gerade so beliebt sind, eignen sie sich auch hervorragend als Geschenk. Sie sind einfach stylisch und die Qualität ist wirklich gut.

PS: Und bitte richtig benennen: Nicht Tasse – es heißt Rambler. Und es heißt auch nicht einfach Flasche, sondern Rambler oder Tumbler. So läuft das mit dem hippen Zeug 🤣.

You’ve probably seen those Instagram posts from Americans with their XXXXL monster travel mugs, like the Yeti Rambler insulated mugs (Affiliate Link) in their cars. These mugs with handles that taper at the bottom so they actually fit into cup holders. Feels like they hold about 7 liters. Not bad if you want to survive the morning on 7 liters of coffee.
My first boss once asked me during a very early meeting: “Ms. Besler, if you let go of your coffee cup right now, would you fall over?” We never actually tested it 🙈.

Both the mugs and the bottles come in a wide range of sizes and in the most beautiful colors – and they’re pretty cool. They don’t just keep things warm, they also keep them cold. Is “keep cold” even a word? Anyway: hot coffee stays hot for quite a while, without burning your hands. And with cold drinks there’s another big advantage: add ice cubes and everything stays ice cold for hours. Plus, the outside doesn’t sweat. No water everywhere, no marks on wooden tables, no coasters sticking to your glass.

Years ago, I fell in love with a colorful Yeti Rambler insulated mug (Affiliate Link) in a surf shop 🩵. Of course in a normal mug size and not the 7-liter version. The bright colors of the Yeti Rambler range are almost irresistible. Even Barbie would find something here. And the range of products now available in Germany is huge. From small espresso cups to wine tumblers to Rambler bottles and coolers – a lot of things you don’t really need, but still kind of want.

I’ve had my turquoise Yeti insulated mug for years now, and it still looks like new, so I think it’s time to recommend it. According to the manufacturer, you can put it in the dishwasher – and that’s what I do now. Works perfectly. Another practical detail: you can buy replacement seals and individual parts. The newer models are even stackable.

And since Yeti Ramblers and tumblers are quite popular right now, they also make great gifts. They’re simply stylish, and the quality is really good.

PS: And just so you know – it’s not called a mug. It’s called a Rambler. And it’s not just a bottle either, it’s a Rambler or a tumbler. That’s how this whole hip thing works 🤣.

Habt ihr auch Freunde, die ihr Wasser aus einer Karaffe trinken, in der kleine bunte Steine liegen. Ich habe einige solcher Freunde und für mich ist das ok. Es sind übrigens Edelsteine. Und ja, sogar Diamanten werden in Wasser gelegt, um es damit zu energetisieren oder wie eine meiner Freundinnen sagen würde: Um das Wasser mit Informationen anzureichern.
Aus reiner Bequemlichkeit habe ich mich nie damit befasst, denn die Steine müssen auch gepflegt werden. Außerdem hat jeder Edelstein eine andere Wirkung auf den Körper und nicht jeder Edelstein gehört ins Wasser. Man muss sich also damit befassen.

Oder man ist faul und kauft sich eine Edelsteinflasche von Vitajuwel (Affiliate Link). Zugegeben, ich bin nicht von selbst auf die Edelsteine im Wasser Nummer gekommen. Do you also have friends who drink their water from a carafe with small colorful stones in it. I have some such friends and for me it is ok. They are precious stones, by the way. And yes, even diamonds are put in water to energize it with them or as one of my friends would say: to enrich the water with information.
Out of sheer convenience, I have never looked into it, because the stones also need to be taken care of. Also, each gemstone has a different effect on the body and not every gemstone belongs in the water. So you have to deal with it.

Wer denkt, ein Wasserfilter für unterwegs wäre nur etwas für Outdoor-Profis, irrt sich gewaltig. So eine Wasserfilterflasche ist eine ziemlich coole Sache, um im Urlaub Unmengen Plastikflaschen einzusparen.

Das Ding mit den Plastikflaschen im Urlaub ist mir schon lange ein Dorn im Auge. Ich brauche meist nicht nur Wasser zum Trinken, sondern auch zum Zähneputzen, zum Obst- und Gemüsewaschen, um Eiswürfel herzustellen oder um mir einen Kaffee zu kochen. Da kommt einiges an Plastikflaschen zusammen. Und nein, ich kann in Marokko nicht das Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn trinken. Ich kann mir nicht mal auf Mallorca die Zähne mit Leitungswasser putzen. Ich habe einfach einen empfindlichen Magen und in anderen Ländern ist die Bakterienflora im Trinkwasser so anders als in Deutschland, dass mein Magen damit einfach nicht klarkommt.

Die Aufgabe – Finde einen Wasserfilter für unterwegs

Also haben wir uns nach einem Wasserfilter für unterwegs umgeschaut und sind auf eine super praktische Flasche gestoßen – eine Wasserfilterflasche, die perfekt in unseren Reisealltag passt. Es könnte nicht einfacher sein.

Und glaubt mir es ist sicher nicht besser, wenn man auf seinem Blog über Putzmittel philosophiert. Na, ich habe Glück, die Zeit hat für mich gearbeitet: Alt bin ich ganz von selbst geworden. Ich darf also ganz entspannt darüber schreiben. Tatsächlich habe ich auch schon früher übers Putzen auf dem Blog geschrieben. Mein Lieblingspost zu diesem Thema ist der, in dem ich die Wahrheit über Putzpartys lüfte.😂🙈 Den Post über die ganze Wahrheit zu den Putzpartys könnt ihr übrigens hier nachlesen.

Nun muss ich es unbedingt wieder tun. Ich schreibe also erneut übers Putzen. Alles begann in dem tollen Ferienhaus, das wir in Capbreton gemietet hatten.
In dem Haus in Capbreton hatte ich ein Fläschchen entdeckt, aus dem ich gerne mal ein Schlückchen genommen hätte oder mit dessen Inhalt ich unter der Dusche geplanscht hätte. Ich sage nur Rhubarb, ein ganz zarter Rhabarber-Duft. Dummerweise stand das schicke Glasfläschchen aber in der Küche bei den Putzmitteln und es war ganz eindeutig, dass nur Geschirr damit planschen durfte. 😩 Wenig später habe ich noch ein weiteres Fläschchen im Badezimmer entdeckt: Rosemary, Lemon and Juniper Berry Aroma. Damit durfte ich aber auch nicht duschen, nein, die Fliesen, das Waschbecken und der Rest vom Badezimmer waren diejenigen, die damit verwöhnt werden sollten. Menno. Ich hatte mal ganz kurz in Erwähnung gezogen, nur noch von Hand zu spülen oder gar einen gründlichen Frühlingsputz in dem Haus durchzuführen. Das Haus war allerdings blitzblank, ich war wohl nicht die Erste mit dieser Idee.

Colt&Willow stand auf den Flaschen und bei meiner Recherche hatte ich ganz schnell raus, dass es sich um umweltfreundliche Putzmittel handelt. And believe me, it’s certainly no better if you philosophize about cleaning products on your blog. Well, I’m lucky, time has worked for me: I got old all by myself. So I’m allowed to write about it in a relaxed way. In fact, I’ve written about cleaning on the blog before, too. Now I really need to do it again. It all started in the amazing vacation home we rented in Capbreton.
In the house in Capbreton I had discovered a bottle from which I would have liked to take a sip or with whose contents I would have liked to splash in the shower. I only say Rhubarb, a very delicate rhubarb scent. Unfortunately, the fancy glass bottle was in the kitchen with the cleaning products and it was quite clear that only dishes were allowed to splash with it. 😩 A little later I discovered another bottle in the bathroom: Rosemary, Lemon and Juniper Berry Aroma. But I wasn’t allowed to shower with it either, no, the tiles, the sink and the rest of the bathroom were the ones to be pampered with it. Menno. I had once very briefly considered only washing dishes by hand or even doing a thorough spring cleaning in the house. The house was spotless though, I guess I wasn’t the first with that idea.

Baden ist für mich das schönste Erholungsprogramm der Welt, vor allem, seit ich für mich eine Lösung gefunden habe, auch ohne feste Badewanne zu baden. Nirgends kann ich so relaxen wie in der Badewanne. Zugegeben, im Sommer, bei dreißig Grad gehe ich lieber im Meer schwimmen, aber jetzt im Herbst beginnt für mich die Zeit, in der ich abends gerne mal bade.

Unsere Wohnung hat wirklich alles, was ich liebe, außer einer Badewanne.
Und jetzt lacht ihr mich sicher aus, aber mir hat meine heiß und innig geliebte Badewanne so sehr gefehlt, dass ich mich im Internet auf die Suche nach einer mobilen Badewanne für Erwachsene begeben habe, also nach einer mobilen Badewanne bzw. einer Art Badewanne für die Dusche. Und siehe da, ich bin nicht die einzige Person mit einer Wohnung ohne Badewanne, die das Baden vermisst. In Amsterdam hat jemand das Baden so vermisst, dass er eine mobile Badewanne entwickelt hat, und zwar eine Badewanne zum Aufblasen. Sie ist einfach genial und der Erfinder hat seine mobile Badewanne Tubble (Affiliate Link) getauft und verbessert sie ständig. Es gibt einige andere Badewannen zum Aufblasen auf einer großen Onlineplattform, die aber nicht sonderlich vertrauenerweckend wirken.

Die Tubble Badewanne gibt es in mehreren Größen, sie ist superstabil und wird mit einer elektrischen Pumpe geliefert. Sie ist wie versprochen in zwei Minuten aufgeblasen und in null Komma nichts wieder verstaut. Ich liebe, liebe, liebe meine Tubble Badewanne und würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen. Ich bin 1,74 Meter groß und kann mit ausgestreckten Beinen entspannt darin sitzen und rumlümmeln. Und weil sie aufblasbar ist, ist sie übrigens auch viel bequemer als eine normale Badewanne. Ich bade übrigens fast immer mit Epsom Salz – darüber habe ich hier schon einmal ausführlicher geschrieben.

Ich benutze meine Badewanne übrigens ausschließlich in der Dusche, wo sie super reinpasst und wo das Badewasser ganz normal ablaufen kann. Außerdem fühle ich mich so sicherer, falls sie doch mal beschädigt sein sollte.
Die Fotos habe ich nur im Flur gemacht, weil unser Badezimmer zu klein ist, um darin zu fotografieren. Ich würde natürlich niemals im Flur baden, da könnte das Wasser weder vernünftig einlaufen noch ablaufen. Übrigens zieht man auch in dieser mobilen Badewanne einen Stöpsel, um das Wasser abzulassen.

Falls ihr euch nun für eine Tubble Badewanne interessiert, denkt bitte vor dem Kauf über die Statik nach, das Gewicht sollte man auf jeden Fall im Hinterkopf behalten – in einem normalen Badezimmer ist das aber in der Regel kein Problem.

Bathing is the most relaxing ritual in the world for me, especially since I found a way to enjoy it even without a proper bathtub. Nowhere else can I unwind like this. Of course, in summer, when it’s thirty degrees, I’d much rather go for a swim in the sea. But once autumn arrives, it’s the time of year when I love taking a bath in the evening.

Our apartment really has everything I love—except a bathtub. You’ll probably laugh, but I missed my beloved bathtub so much that I started searching online for a portable bathtub for adults, basically something that works as a bathtub for the shower. As it turns out, I’m not the only one living without a bathtub who misses it. In Amsterdam, someone felt exactly the same and ended up developing a portable, inflatable bathtub. It’s honestly a brilliant idea. The inventor named it Tubble (Affiliate Link) and keeps improving it. There are a few other inflatable bathtubs on large online platforms, but they don’t feel particularly trustworthy.

The Tubble bathtub comes in different sizes, is very sturdy, and comes with an electric pump. As promised, it inflates in about two minutes and can be packed away just as quickly. I love, love, love my Tubble bathtub and would buy it again anytime. At 1.74 m tall, sitting in it with my legs stretched out feels completely comfortable and genuinely relaxing. Because it’s inflatable, it actually feels even more comfortable than a regular bathtub. Bathing with Epsom salt has also become part of my routine—I’ve written more about that here.

The bathtub is used exclusively in the shower, where it fits perfectly and the water can drain away as usual. That also feels a bit safer, just in case it ever got damaged. The photos were taken in the hallway because the bathroom is simply too small. Obviously, no one is bathing in the hallway—water wouldn’t properly run in or out there. By the way, this portable bathtub also has a plug that you pull to drain the water.

If you’re thinking about getting a Tubble bathtub, just keep the weight in mind before buying. A bathtub filled with water is quite heavy—but in a normal bathroom, this usually isn’t a problem.

Mücken. Ein leidiges Thema für mich. Ich bin nämlich ein Mücken-Gourmet-Tempel. Neben mir kann jemand nackt im Bett liegen und ich kann so eingemummelt sein, dass nur die Nasenspitze rausschaut. Ratet, wo die Mücken sitzen. Ja, richtig auf meiner Nasenspitze.

Leider haben wir trotz der Nähe zum Meer relativ viele Mücken in Nizza und natürlich lieben mich auch die „Nissa Mücken“. Eine sehr einseitige Liebe muss ich gestehen. Blöderweise schwellen die „Nissa Mückenstiche“ bei mir auch direkt zu riesigen, juckenden Flatschen an. Ihr könnt euch sicher vorstellen, wie sehr ich das hasse.

Wirksame Mittel gegen Mücken enthalten bedauerlicherweise viel zu viele Giftstoffe, und auch Insektizid-Stecker für die Steckdose kommen für mich als Dauerlösung nicht infrage. Ich verteidige mich auf meinem Balkon mit Räucherstäbchen und einem Moskitonetz. Aber wehe, ich setze einen Fuß neben das Moskitonetz, dann fallen sofort Mücken über mich her. Katastrophal.
Gott sei Dank habe ich einen kleinen Retter, der perfekt funktioniert. Es wundert mich, dass keiner meiner Besucher meinen Retter – einen Stichheiler (Affiliate Link) – kennt. Dabei funktioniert er großartig, und das auch bei Wespen- und Bienenstichen. Mein kleiner Retter wurde mir selbst vor einigen Jahren von einer Bekannten empfohlen. ch kann mir einen Sommer ohne meinen heiligen Stichheiler gar nicht mehr vorstellen und werde mir jetzt noch den Mini-Stichheiler für den Schlüsselbund (Affiliate Link) holen. Der braucht keine Batterie, sondern wird einfach mit dem Mobiltelefon verbunden.

Beispielsweise, wenn ich mal bei meiner Freundin im Outdoor-Bett abends draußen chille – darüber habe ich hier schon einmal geschrieben – bin ich wirklich froh, wenn ich meinen kleinen Retter dabeihabe. Der Stichheiler hat eine kleine Keramikfläche, die auf die Einstichstelle gehalten wird. Auf Knopfdruck erhitzt sich die Fläche für einige Sekunden und das war es auch schon. Ich wiederhole das Prozedere immer einige Male. Sicherheitshalber, weil viel hilft ja bekanntlich viel. Danach juckt der Stich nicht mehr und die Schwellung geht zurück. Funktioniert super.

Mosquitoes. A constant issue for me. I’m basically a gourmet temple for mosquitoes. Someone could be lying next to me naked in bed while I’m wrapped up like a burrito with only the tip of my nose sticking out. Guess where the mosquitoes land. Yes, exactly – right on my nose.

Unfortunately, despite being close to the sea, we have quite a lot of mosquitoes in Nice, and of course the “Nissa mosquitoes” absolutely love me. A very one-sided love, I have to admit. To make things worse, my mosquito bites immediately turn into huge, itchy swellings. You can probably imagine how much I hate that.

Effective anti-mosquito products often contain far too many chemicals for my taste, and those plug-in insect devices are not an option for me as a long-term solution either. On my balcony, I defend myself with incense sticks and a mosquito net. But the moment I step outside that net, I’m instantly attacked. A disaster.
Luckily, I have a small lifesaver that works perfectly. I’m always surprised that none of my visitors seem to know about it – a bite healer (affiliate link). It works really well, even for wasp and bee stings. I was introduced to my little helper a few years ago by an acquaintance, and I honestly can’t imagine a summer without my holy bite healer anymore. I’m now planning to get the mini version for my keychain (affiliate link) as well. It doesn’t need batteries – it simply connects to your phone.

What I love about the bite healer is that it works after the bite. For example, when I’m chilling outside in my friend’s outdoor bed in the evening – I’ve written about it here before – I’m really glad to have my little lifesaver with me. It has a small ceramic surface that you place directly on the sting. At the push of a button, it heats up for a few seconds – and that’s it. I usually repeat the process a couple of times, just to be safe. After that, the itching stops and the swelling goes down. It works really well.

Seit einer Woche habe ich nun meine hübsche waterdrop-Flasche (Affiliate Link) und die praktischen kleinen waterdrops, und schon sind sie fester Bestandteil meiner Unternehmungen. Wie praktisch die Sache doch ist. (Über meine Erfahrungen mit dem waterdrop Microdrink habe ich hier schon einmal geschrieben.)

In Nizza kann es auch zu dieser Jahreszeit noch ganz schön heiß werden, und irgendwie ist man ständig durstig. Gegen Durst gibt es in Nizza – und auch in vielen anderen französischen Orten – etwas Geniales: kostenloses Trinkwasser aus Pumpen. Das Wasser ist einwandfrei und im Sommer so erfrischend. Die hübschen grünen Pumpen aus Gusseisen findet man an unzähligen Stellen in Nizza. Ich liebe diese Pumpen. Man kann seine Hände waschen, sein Gesicht abkühlen und seine Flasche auffüllen. Vermutlich retten sie die Stadt im Sommer vor dem Plastikflaschen-Müllkollaps.
Mit meinen kleinen waterdrops kann ich mir nun, wenn ich Lust habe, unterwegs sogar ein Getränk mit Geschmack machen. Ich finde waterdrop einfach genial. Ich kaufe in der Stadt nicht mal eben eine Limonade und schmeiße die Plastikflasche in den Müll, sondern fülle meine Flasche auf und werfe einen Microdrink-Würfel hinein.

Wusstet ihr, dass es in Deutschland auch eine Initiative für kostenloses Leitungswasser gibt? Sie heißt „Refill“. Ich habe die Website unter dem Post verlinkt.

Vorgestern erhielt ich unter anderem den Kommentar zu waterdrop: „Schon wieder so viel Plastik. Kann man nicht einfach ein Stück Apfel ins Wasser tun?“ Wenn man zu Hause ist, ist das Äpfelchen sicher eine gute Alternative. Das Geniale an waterdrop liegt für mich aber in der Einfachheit unterwegs.
Die Stewardess in der First Class schnippelt vielleicht noch ein Stück Apfel ins Wasser, wenn sie muss – aber wer reist schon First Class? Beim Wandern nehme ich jedenfalls kein Apfelscheibchen mit, sondern achte auf das Gewicht.
Campingurlaub ist auch so eine Geschichte. Wir haben in meiner Kindheit oft auf einem naturbelassenen Platz in Ungarn gecampt. Da gab es eine Pumpe – und das war’s. Nichts zu kaufen. Aus Platzgründen hatten wir immer ein Getränkepulver zum Anrühren dabei. Aus heutiger Sicht grauenhaft, aber damals war das die einzige Möglichkeit für Getränke mit Geschmack. Wie praktisch wären da ein paar waterdrops gewesen.

Ich nehme jetzt immer meine hübsche waterdrop-Flasche leer mit in die Stadt, fülle sie an einer Pumpe auf und werfe bei Bedarf einen Microdrink-Würfel hinein. So wie neulich bei meinem Ausflug auf den Schlosshügel von Nizza – mit dem großartigsten Blick über die Stadt.

For about a week now, I’ve been using my beautiful waterdrop bottle (affiliate link) and the practical little waterdrops, and they have already become a regular part of my daily activities. It’s surprisingly convenient. (I’ve already written more about my experience with waterdrop Microdrink here.)

Even at this time of year, it can still get quite hot in Nice, and somehow you’re constantly thirsty. But in Nice – and in many other places in France – there’s something truly great: free drinking water from public fountains. The water is perfectly clean and incredibly refreshing in summer. You can find these charming green cast-iron fountains all over the city. I love them. You can wash your hands, cool your face, and refill your bottle. They probably save the city from a plastic bottle waste overload during the summer.
With my little waterdrops, I can now even make a flavored drink on the go whenever I feel like it. I think waterdrop is simply brilliant. Instead of buying a lemonade in the city and throwing away the plastic bottle, I just refill my bottle and drop in a Microdrink cube.

The other day, I received a comment about waterdrop: “So much plastic again. Why not just put a slice of apple in your water?” At home, that little apple slice is definitely a good alternative. But for me, what makes waterdrop so appealing is how simple it is when you’re out and about.
A first-class flight attendant might still slice an apple into your water if needed – but who actually travels first class? When I go hiking, I certainly don’t carry apple slices with me; I pay attention to weight.
Camping is another story. When I was a child, we often spent our summer holidays on a very simple campsite in Hungary. There was a water pump – and that was it. Nothing to buy. To save space, we always brought powdered drink mixes with us. From today’s perspective, pretty awful, but back then it was the only way to have flavored drinks. A few waterdrops would have been perfect in that situation.

Now I always take my waterdrop bottle with me into the city, refill it at a fountain, and add a Microdrink cube if I feel like it. Just like the other day on my walk up to Castle Hill in Nice – with the most incredible view over the city.

Die Erfinder von waterdrop Microdrink sprechen mir ein wenig aus der Seele. Genügend Wasser zu trinken ist wichtig. Leider ist genügend Wasser trinken auch unendlich langweilig. Ich für meinen Teil mag keine sogenannten Softdrinks – zumindest nicht ohne Alkohol 🙈😂. Saftschorlen mag ich genauso wenig, da die Säfte im Allgemeinen nicht frisch gepresst sind und oft künstlich schmecken. In Cafés habe ich also immer das gleiche Dilemma: ich trinke den zehnten Kaffee, bestelle ein (langweiliges) Wasser oder ein alkoholisches Getränk. Das fällt tagsüber natürlich raus. Tatsächlich bestelle ich manchmal ein Glas Rosé, einfach weil ich kein Wasser trinken mag. Das ist natürlich alles andere als gesund.

Als ich gefragt wurde, ob ich waterdrop Microdrink (Affiliate Link)  testen möchte, habe ich mich deshalb wirklich gefreut. Ich war gespannt, ob diese kleinen Würfel es schaffen, ein (langweiliges) Wasser ein bisschen interessanter zu machen. Hinter waterdrop stehen mehrere Gründer, die genau dieses Problem lösen wollten: Wasser trinken, aber eben nicht langweilig.

waterdrop Microdrink sind kleine Würfel, die man einfach ins Wasser gibt. Sie lösen sich von selbst auf und geben dem Wasser Geschmack – ganz ohne Zucker. Stattdessen enthalten sie Frucht- und Pflanzenextrakte sowie Vitamine. Ich war ehrlich gesagt überrascht, wie klein diese Würfel sind. Die passen wirklich in jede Tasche und damit auch in jede Flasche. Gerade unterwegs ist das ziemlich praktisch.

Geschmacklich erinnert mich das Ganze am ehesten an selbstgemachte Limonade oder so ein leichtes Infused Water. Also nicht wie ein klassischer Softdrink, sondern eher dezent und frisch. Ich finde das ganz angenehm.
Was ich auch ganz schön finde: die Glasflaschen. Schlicht, wunderhübsch und mit Bambusdeckel, laufen nicht aus (habe ich getestet) und passen gut in den Alltag. Insgesamt wirkt alles ziemlich durchdacht und auch optisch sehr stimmig. Ich finde die Idee wirklich gut – vor allem, weil ich dadurch tatsächlich mehr Wasser trinke.

PS: Zu Hause nutze ich übrigens inzwischen auch den Wasserfilter von waterdrop, den ich wirklich empfehlen kann. Darüber habe ich hier schon einmal geschrieben.

The creators of waterdrop Microdrink speak a little bit from my soul. Drinking enough water is important. Unfortunately, drinking enough water is also incredibly boring. Personally, I don’t like so-called soft drinks – at least not without alcohol 🙈😂. I don’t like juice spritzers either, as the juices are usually not freshly squeezed and often taste artificial. So in cafés, I always have the same dilemma: I end up having my tenth coffee, ordering a (boring) water, or going for an alcoholic drink. Obviously, that’s not an option during the day. Sometimes I actually order a glass of rosé just because I don’t feel like drinking water. Not exactly the healthiest choice.

So when I was asked if I wanted to try waterdrop Microdrink (Affiliate Link), I was genuinely happy. I was curious to see if these small cubes could actually make (boring) water a bit more interesting. Behind waterdrop are several founders who wanted to solve exactly this problem: drinking water, but not in a boring way.

waterdrop Microdrink are small cubes that you simply drop into water. They dissolve on their own and add flavor – without any sugar. Instead, they contain fruit and plant extracts as well as vitamins. I was honestly surprised by how tiny these cubes are. They really fit into any bag and therefore into any bottle. Especially when you’re out and about, that’s quite practical.

In terms of taste, it reminds me most of homemade lemonade or a light infused water. Not like a typical soft drink, but more subtle and fresh. I actually quite like that.

Another thing I really like are the glass bottles. Simple, really beautiful, with a bamboo lid, leak-proof (I tested it), and easy to use in everyday life. Overall, everything feels well thought out and visually very consistent. I think the idea is genuinely good – especially because I actually end up drinking more water.
