„Porte de Sahara“ Ouzina

Wer ein bisschen Abgeschiedenheit sucht und mit einem 4×4 oder Cross-Motorrad unterwegs ist, dem empfehle ich eine Tour zum Kasbah-Hotel Porte de Sahara in Ouzina (Affiliate Link). Übersetzt bedeutet der Name so viel wie „Tor zur Sahara“ – und genau so fühlt es sich dort auch an. Wir sind dort nur für eine Teepause eingekehrt und haben nicht übernachtet, deshalb kann ich zu den Zimmern nichts sagen. Auf aktuellen Bildern habe ich allerdings gesehen, dass es mittlerweile sogar einen kleinen Pool auf der Dachterrasse gibt, was ziemlich schön aussieht.
Der Ort ist perfekt für eine Pause, einen Tee oder ein Mittagessen. Für eine Übernachtung würde ich übrigens nicht im Dunkeln anreisen wollen, da es die Piste ganz schön in sich hat. Das ist auch der Grund, warum ich davon abrate, diese Tour mit einem normalen PKW zu unternehmen. Aber wer ein bisschen Dakar-Feeling sucht, ist dort genau richtig.

If you are looking for a little seclusion and are travelling with a 4×4 or a cross motorcycle, I can recommend a trip to the Kasbah Hotel Porte de Sahara in Ouzina (affiliate link). Translated, the name means something like “Gateway to the Sahara” – and that is exactly how it feels there. We only stopped there for a tea break and did not stay overnight, so I cannot say anything about the rooms. However, I have seen in recent photos that there now even seems to be a small pool on the rooftop terrace, which looks quite lovely.
The place is perfect for a break, a tea or lunch. For an overnight stay, I would definitely not want to arrive after dark, because the track is quite something. That is also why I would not recommend doing this tour with a normal car. But if you are looking for a little Dakar feeling, this is exactly the right place.
