Wir waren ein paar Tage in Südtirol, um Freunde zu treffen, die dort ihre Ferien verbracht haben. Es war wunderschön, aber auch unfassbar heiß. Tagsüber lagen die Temperaturen fast bei 37 Grad, und irgendwann war eigentlich alles zu viel.
Für Unternehmungen war es beinahe zu heiß. In den Bergen war es zwar etwas kühler, aber auch mächtig voll. Wandern auf der Autobahn ist nicht so meins. Der ambitionierte Wanderer geht natürlich einfach früh los, wenn der normale Urlauber noch schläft, aber zum Wandern waren wir diesmal ohnehin nicht da.
Apropos früh. Wir lassen uns ja im Urlaub selten einen Sonnenaufgang entgehen. Einen besonders schönen Sonnenaufgang in der Wüste habe ich euch in diesem Beitrag schon einmal gezeigt. Und auch in diesem Fall war frühes Aufstehen mal wieder schlau. Meist findet sich auch noch ein gutes Plätzchen für besagte Sonnenaufgänge. In diesem Fall fiel unsere Wahl auf den kleinen Hotelpool auf dem Dach.
Eine gute Wahl, nicht nur wegen des Lichts und des Blicks auf die Berge, sondern auch wegen der Ruhe, der Menschenleere und der frischen Brise. Ja, frische Brise. Am frühen Morgen gab es einen herrlich frischen Wind auf dem Dach des Hotels – WINDY MORNING ON THE ROOFTOP. Jeden Tag die beste Zeit.
Tagsüber war der Pool natürlich voll. Aber am frühen Morgen gehörte das Dach für einen kurzen Moment fast uns allein. Wir sind mit einem Kaffee hochgeschlichen und waren tatsächlich immer allein.
Ich habe übrigens tatsächlich kurz überlegt, den Kran über Nacht abzuschrauben oder zumindest wegzuphotoshoppen. Aber er war nun mal da. Und irgendwie gehört er genau deshalb auch aufs Foto 😂🙈.

We spent a few days in South Tyrol to meet friends who were spending their holidays there. It was beautiful, but also incredibly hot. During the day, temperatures were almost 37 degrees, and at some point everything simply felt like too much.
For any kind of excursion, it was almost too hot. In the mountains it was a little cooler, but also very crowded. Hiking on the highway is not really my thing. The ambitious hiker, of course, simply starts early, while the normal holidaymaker is still asleep, but hiking was not really the reason we were there this time anyway.
Speaking of early. We rarely miss a sunrise on vacation. I already showed you a particularly beautiful sunrise in the desert in this post. And in this case, getting up early was once again a very good idea. Usually, there is also a nice little spot for said sunrises. In this case, we chose the small hotel pool on the rooftop.
A good choice, not only because of the light and the view of the mountains, but also because of the quiet, the emptiness and the fresh breeze. Yes, fresh breeze. Early in the morning, there was a wonderfully fresh wind on the roof of the hotel – WINDY MORNING ON THE ROOFTOP. The best time every day.
During the day, the pool was of course full. But early in the morning, the rooftop almost belonged to us alone for a short moment. We sneaked up there with a coffee and were actually always alone.
By the way, I actually briefly considered unscrewing the crane overnight or at least photoshopping it out. But it was there. And somehow, that is exactly why it belongs in the photo 😂🙈.
