Irgendwann im letzten Jahr bei Sandra… Ich gebe zu, die Situation kommt euch vielleicht bekannt vor – ich habe sie nämlich schon einmal hier verbloggt: dieses berühmte „Sandraaaaaaa“ mit extra viel A wie in „Duuuuuuuuu“, gefolgt von „Sandra, wollen wir mal das und das kochen?“ und einer frühlingshaften Tischdeko und Dekoria.

Und natürlich hat Sandra wieder gelacht – völlig zurecht – denn auch dieses Mal hat in Wirklichkeit nur eine von uns gekocht: Sandra. Ich habe derweil versucht, möglichst nicht im Weg zu stehen und nichts zu zerdeppern (mein Spezialgebiet: Gläser beim Spülen eliminieren, daran hat sich nichts geändert).

Was ich dagegen wirklich gut kann: den Tisch decken. Also, ich will ja nicht eingebildet sein – wirklich nicht! – aber „Tischdecken“ kann ich wirklich gut. Ich tue jetzt einfach mal so, als hätte das nichts mit meiner ausgewachsenen Dekosucht zu tun. Und ganz ehrlich, bei so wunderschönen Tischdecken und Kissen kann eigentlich nichts schiefgehen – da muss man sich fast schon Mühe geben, dass so eine frühlingshafte Tischdeko nicht hübsch aussieht. All die schönen Sachen sind – wie sollte es anders sein – von Dekoria, und genau deshalb habe ich wieder tausend Fotos gemacht.

Übrigens: Gekocht hat Sandra nach meinem Rezept. Ich habe es natürlich auch schon selbst ausprobiert, aber es sah nicht annähernd so schön aus wie bei ihr. Ha ha! Ein Beweisfoto habe ich euch auch mitgebracht.

Frühlingshafte Tischdeko mit Dekoria

Diesmal waren es Stücke aus der Intenso Premium Kollektion von Dekoria – und ich muss sagen, diese kleinen Deko-Lieblinge machen sich ganz ausgezeichnet in Sandras Garten. Der Jacquard-Stoff hat eine tolle Qualität und die mediterranen Muster sind einfach schön. Ein Terrakotta-Töpchen Basilikum dazu und die hübscheste Tischdeko ist geritzt.

Sometime last year at Sandra’s… and if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you probably know what that means. Because when it comes to springtime table decor and Dekoria, I’m always in – cooking or not!

I’ll admit, you might recognize this situation – I’ve actually written about it here before: that infamous „Sandraaaaaaa“ with extra A’s, like „Youuuuuu“, followed by „Sandra, shall we cook this and that?“ – and of course a little springtime table decor moment with Dekoria on the side.

And of course Sandra laughed – completely justified – because once again, only one of us actually did the cooking: Sandra. I meanwhile tried my best to stay out of the way and not break anything (my specialty: destroying glasses while doing the dishes – that hasn’t changed one bit).

What I AM genuinely good at though: setting the table. Now, I don’t want to sound big-headed – I really don’t! – but setting a table? I’m actually really good at it. Let’s just pretend that has nothing to do with my fully developed decor addiction. And honestly, with such beautiful tablecloths and cushions, nothing can really go wrong – you’d almost have to try hard to make springtime table decor look bad. All the beautiful pieces are – as always – from Dekoria, which is exactly why I took about a thousand photos again.

By the way: Sandra cooked using my recipe. I’ve tried it myself of course, but it looked nowhere near as beautiful as hers. Ha ha! I’ve included a little proof photo for you.

Springtime Table Decor with Dekoria – the Fabrics Make It

This time it was pieces from the Intenso Premium Collection by Dekoria – and I have to say, these little decor favorites look absolutely stunning in Sandra’s garden. The jacquard fabric is beautiful quality and the mediterranean patterns are simply gorgeous. Add a little terracotta pot of basil and the prettiest table setting is done.

2016 haben wir den Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesch zum ersten Mal besucht. Man konnte einfach hinfahren, sich an einer kleinen Kasse Tickets kaufen – musste etwas warten, aber konnte einfach hineingehen.
Wir waren 2016 am Neujahrsmorgen um 8:30 Uhr da und waren die Ersten und einzigen Besucher. Wir waren mehr oder weniger ganz allein. Es war ruhig, es war wunderschön und man würde heute sagen: beschaulich, ja fast magisch. Nach dem Besuch waren wir noch in einem coolen Shop gegenüber, haben einen Kaffee getrunken und sind dann mit einer Kutsche zurückgefahren. Daran kann ich mich noch ganz genau erinnern. Das war 2016.

Heute, 2026, waren wir wieder da und dachten ganz naiv: Man könnte ja noch einmal den Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesch besuchen. Da man online keine Tickets mehr kaufen konnte, sind wir morgens ganz früh dort aufgeschlagen. Ehrlich gesagt, haben wir uns nicht viel dabei gedacht 😂🙈.

Heute: Jardin Majorelle 2026

Ein Schock: Menschenmassen und mehrere Reisegruppen standen schon in einer Warteschlange vor der Tür. Schilder mit Uhrzeiten wurden aufgestellt. Mittlerweile läuft das ein wenig anders im Jardin Majorelle Marrakesch. Tickets kann man ausschließlich online kaufen – und mal eben drei Tage vorher ist das auch gar nicht mehr möglich. Wir haben mehrere Leute am (nicht mehr vorhandenen) Ticketschalter kennengelernt, die sehr traurig darüber waren, dass sie keine Möglichkeit haben, den Jardin Majorelle zu besuchen, da sie nur drei Tage in der Stadt sind. Aber alle sprachen von Instagram. Also ist ersichtlich, dass der Hype durch Instagram ausgelöst wurde – wie an so vielen anderen Orten auch. Durch Instagram ist der Jardin Majorelle zu einem dermaßen Hotspot mutiert, dass das Museum den Menschenmassen gar nicht mehr gerecht wird. Ein bisschen traurig, aber so ist es nun mal.

Halbstündlich werden also circa 250 Menschen eingelassen und haben eine halbe Stunde Zeit, vermutlich auch mehr. Aber danach haben neue Gruppen ihren Slot.
Der coole Shop ist immer noch da, exklusiv, gut kuratiert (wie man heute in coolem Neudeutsch sagt) und weitere sind dazugekommen. Alle sehr schick und auch noch ein paar hippe Cafés mit Saint-Tropez-Preisen. Und die Kutschen sahen leider ein bisschen verlaust aus. Wir sind noch etwas herumgelaufen, haben in einem marokkanischen Café mit Sonnenplätzchen einen Kaffee getrunken und dann ein Uber gerufen.

Travel-Tipps für Jardin Majorelle Marrakesch

Wenn ihr eure Marrakesch-Reise bucht, reserviert auch Sehenswürdigkeiten oder Restaurants im Voraus. Die ganzen Instagram-Hotspots sind überlaufen und oft ausgebucht. Wenn ihr Tickets für den Jardin Majorelle kaufen wollt, achtet darauf, dass ihr wirklich auf der offiziellen Ticket-Webseite gelandet seid. Es werden im Internet Tickets verkauft, die nicht offiziell sind und somit ungültig – euer Geld landet dann in den Taschen von Betrügern.

Mögliche Alternative zu Jardin Majorelle

Wenn ihr keine Tickets für den Jardin Majorelle bekommt oder euch das Ganze einfach zu voll ist, könnt ihr als Alternative den Anima Garden von André Heller besuchen. Er liegt etwa eine gute halbe Stunde außerhalb von Marrakesch, ist sehr weitläufig und soll absolut sehenswert sein. Es gibt sogar einen kostenlosen Shuttle von Marrakesch dorthin – beim nächsten Mal werde ich den Anima Garden auf jeden Fall besuchen.

Back in 2016 we visited the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech for the very first time. You could simply turn up, buy your tickets at a little booth, wait a short while and then just walk in.
We went on New Year’s morning 2016 at 8:30 a.m. and were the first and only visitors. We were more or less completely on our own. It was quiet, it was beautiful and very peaceful. After the visit we stopped by a cool shop across the street, had a coffee and then took a horse-drawn carriage back. I remember it so clearly. That was 2016.

Fast forward to 2026. We went back, thinking – very naively – that we could just visit the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech again. Because we couldn’t buy tickets online anymore, we showed up very early in the morning. To be honest, we didn’t think much of it 😂🙈.

Today: Jardin Majorelle 2026

Shock: crowds and several tour groups were already queued up in a long line at the entrance. Signs with time slots were being put up. These days things work a bit differently at Jardin Majorelle Marrakech. Tickets are only sold online – and you can’t just get them three days in advance anymore either. We met several people around the (no longer existing) ticket counter who were really upset because they had no chance of visiting the Jardin Majorelle at all, as they were only in the city for three days. And everyone mentioned Instagram. It is pretty obvious that the hype has been fuelled by Instagram – just like at so many other places. Thanks to Instagram, the Jardin Majorelle has turned into such a hotspot that the museum simply cannot cope with the crowds anymore. A bit sad, but that’s how it is.

Roughly every 30 minutes around 250 people are let in and have half an hour inside, maybe a bit more. Then the next group gets their slot.
The cool shop is still there, exclusive and very well curated, and more shops have joined it. All very chic – and not exactly cheap. There are cheeky cafés with Saint-Tropez prices. And the carriages, sadly, looked a little shabby. We wandered around for a bit, found a Moroccan café with a sunny spot for our coffee and then ordered an Uber.

Travel tips for Jardin Majorelle Marrakech

If you are planning a trip to Marrakech, make sure you also book sights and restaurants in advance. All the Instagram hotspots are crowded and often fully booked. If you want to buy tickets for the Jardin Majorelle, double-check that you are actually on the official ticket website. There are tickets being sold online that are not official and therefore not valid – which basically means your money ends up in the pockets of scammers.

Possible alternative to Jardin Majorelle

If you cannot get tickets for Jardin Majorelle or it all just feels a bit too crowded, you can visit André Heller’s Anima Garden as an alternative. It is about half an hour outside Marrakech, very spacious and said to be absolutely worth a visit. There is even a shuttle running from Marrakech to Anima Garden – next time I am in the city, I will definitely go there.

In Frankreich sucht man sich im Restaurant nicht selbst einen Platz. Man wartet im Eingangsbereich, bis ein Kellner einen Tisch zuteilt. Reservierungen sind besonders in der Ferienzeit sinnvoll.
Die weißen Tischdecken
Eingedeckte Tische mit weißen Tischdecken sind für Gäste gedacht, die essen möchten. Für ein Glas Wein oder nur ein Getränk setzt man sich dort nicht hin.
Dresscode

Indian Lounge in Nice’s old town is a very popular Indian restaurant, decorated in a colorful and slightly kitschy style. The food is excellent, and in summer it’s especially nice to get a table outside – though reservations are only possible indoors. Especially in winter, advance reservations are highly recommended.

Byblo’s by Yahabibi in Nizza ist ein libanesisches Restaurant, wunderschön arabisch eingerichtet, mit Sitzplätzen draußen im Sommer wie im Winter. Wenn man vom „Place Garibaldi“ aus die „Rue Bonaparte“ zum „Place du Pin“ hinunter schlendert ist man im besten Viertel für einen Aperitif. Hier tobt der Bär und die Atmosphäre ist genial. Ein cooles Bistro, Café oder Restaurant am Anderen und glücklich ist wer irgendwo einen Platz ergattert.

If you follow the „Rue Bonaparte“ from the „Place Garibaldi“ down to the „Place du Pin“ you are in the best part of town for an aperitif. Here the bear rages and the atmosphere is awesome. A cool bistro, café or restaurant on the other side and happy is whoever gets a place somewhere.

La Gare du Sud

Auch am La Gare du Sud, dem ehemaligen Bahnhof von Nizza, der zu einer „Halle Gourmet“ umgebaut wurde kann man eine Pause zum essen einlegen. Ich denke aber, dass hier eher der Fastfood-lover glücklich wird (Ich berichtete hier darüber.)

Aguamadera Ibiza – Einzigartige Agrotourismus Finca

Das Aguamadera Ibiza ist ein Agrotourismus-Hotel der besonderen Art – gelegen auf einem Hügel, umgeben von Wald, auf 11 Hektar Land. Die beiden Betreiber setzen auf Respekt, Stille, Privatsphäre und kreative Aktivitäten. Einer der Betreiber ist übrigens Iria Urgell Calderón, die Tochter des Pacha-Gründers.

Wir waren in der Vorsaison im Aguamadera Ibiza und hatten eine fantastische Zeit. Die Anlage des Aguamadera Ibiza Agrotourismus-Hotels  ist einfach wunderschön, und es steckt so viel Liebe im Detail. Die Einrichtung des Hotels würde ich als minimalistischen Finca-Style bezeichnen. Und trotz der minimalistischen Einrichtung sorgen die verwendeten Naturmaterialien, die vielen gemauerten Bänke mit den unzähligen Kissen und die warmen Erdtöne für Gemütlichkeit. Wer einen Agrotourismus auf Ibiza sucht, der wirklich Ruhe bietet, ist hier genau richtig.

Gemütlichkeit im minimalistischen Stil: Die Finca-Zimmer und Suiten im Aguamadera

Ich habe zwar wie immer zwei Millionen Fotos gemacht, aber anscheinend kein einziges Bild von unserem Zimmer, dabei war es wunderschön. Vermutlich habe ich meine 17 Koffer abgestellt, wir waren schließlich auf Ibiza, habe sie aufgerissen, tausend Kleidungsstücke im Zimmer verteilt, mich auf das Bett geworfen, mit der Matratze gekuschelt und das war es dann mit fotogenem, stylischem Zimmer. Tja, so bin ich: Instagram & Co. haben keinen Vorrang bei mir und der Algorithmus kann nichts dagegen tun. Ich genieße leckeres Essen ohne Foto, dafür aber heiß und auch meine Cocktails schlürfe ich lieber eiskalt und ratet: dafür ohne Foto.
Was ich unbedingt noch erwähnen möchte: In den Zimmern gab es, im Zimmerpreis enthalten, reichlich Wasser und auf der Minibar waren liebevoll verschiedene Kräutertees aus dem hauseigenen Garten arrangiert. Für die Zubereitung des Tees gab es eine wunderschöne Teekanne.

Frühstück und Küche: Köstliches aus dem hauseigenen Garten

Das Frühstück wurde à la carte in einem großen Restaurant-Bereich des Aguamadera Ibiza Agrotourismus serviert, in dem es einen gigantischen Kamin gibt, der in der Vorsaison gut beheizt wurde. Das war sehr gemütlich. Zum Frühstück gab es beispielsweise Pancakes, Eier, Granola mit einem köstlichen Kokos-Joghurt, frisches Obst und natürlich auch Brot und Marmelade. Gekocht wird im Aguamadera übrigens in einer offenen Küche über einem Feuer. In die Kellnerin vom Frühstück war ich heimlich ein bisschen verliebt 🤎☕️. Sie war so aufmerksam und nett und hat den besten Kaffee überhaupt gemacht. Ich hätte sie glatt mitnehmen können. Außerdem war ich auch in die Pancakes verliebt. Der Koch war sogar so nett, mir das Rezept zu geben. Die Pancakes muss ich unbedingt mal machen. Am besten mit Sandra. (Ihr wisst ja, wie das läuft: Sandra macht die Pancakes und ich versuche, nicht im Weg zu stehen. 🤣 Wer neu hier ist, kann gerne Genaueres dazu hier nachlesen.)

Pool und Entspannung: Ruheoase im Agrotourismus-Hotel auf Ibiza

Die Pool-Area sieht genauso einladend aus wie alles andere im Hotel. Es gibt ultrabequeme „Sitzsackliegen“, von denen man gar nicht wieder aufstehen möchte. Leider hatten wir nicht so gutes Wetter, sodass ich kaum Zeit am Pool verbringen konnte, aber die Zeit, die ich dort verbracht habe, war herrlich.

Restaurant im Aguamadera: Regionale und saisonale Holzfeuerküche

Ab 19:30 Uhr ist das Hotel auch für Restaurant-Besucher von außerhalb zugänglich, aber bis 19:30 Uhr gehört das Hotel der Ruhe wegen ganz seinen Gästen. Wir waren einige Male zum Abendessen im Restaurant und fanden es immer fantastisch. Ich erinnere mich an köstliche Muscheln, die ich hatte, ihr wisst ja – ohne Foto, aber dafür heiß gegessen.
Die Betreiber beschreiben die Küche des Restaurants übrigens so: „Regionale Zutaten, wilde Aromen und die besten saisonalen Rohstoffe verbinden sich zu einer bodenständigen, feurigen Küche.“

Anfahrt zum Hotel

Einzig die Straße zum Hotel ist etwas tricky. Es handelt sich dabei um eine Schotterpiste, die ich in einem Sportwagen nicht befahren würde. Durch starke Regenfälle im Winter hatte die Piste wohl stark gelitten.

Aguamadera Ibiza – A Unique Agrotourism Finca

The Aguamadera Ibiza is a very special agrotourism hotel – situated on a hill, surrounded by forest, on 11 hectares of land. The two owners focus on respect, tranquility, privacy and creative activities. One of them is Iria Urgell Calderón, daughter of the Pacha founder – just saying.

We visited the Aguamadera Ibiza in the pre-season and had an absolutely fantastic time. The property is simply beautiful and there is so much love in every little detail. I would describe the interior as minimalist finca-style – and yet, despite the minimalism, the natural materials, the many built-in benches with countless cushions and the warm earthy tones make it feel incredibly cosy. If you’re looking for an agrotourism retreat on Ibiza that truly delivers peace and quiet, this is the place.

Cosy Minimalism: The Rooms and Suites at Aguamadera

As usual I took about two million photos – but apparently not a single one of our room, which was absolutely beautiful. I probably put down my 17 suitcases (we were on Ibiza, after all), ripped them open, distributed a thousand items of clothing across the room, threw myself onto the bed, cuddled with the mattress and that was the end of any photogenic, stylish room situation. That’s just how I am: Instagram and the algorithm have no say in my life. I enjoy good food without taking a photo – but at least while it’s still hot. Same goes for cocktails: ice cold, no photo.

One thing I definitely want to mention: the rooms came with plenty of complimentary water and the minibar was lovingly stocked with various herbal teas from the hotel’s own garden. And there was a beautiful teapot to go with them.

Breakfast and Kitchen: Delicious Produce from the Garden

Breakfast was served à la carte in a large restaurant area with a gigantic fireplace, which was very much in use during the pre-season. Very cosy. The breakfast menu included pancakes, eggs, granola with a delicious coconut yoghurt, fresh fruit and of course bread and jam. Cooking at the Aguamadera is done in an open kitchen over an open fire. I was secretly a little bit in love with the breakfast waitress 🤎☕️. She was so attentive and kind and made the best coffee I’ve ever had. I could have easily taken her home with me. I was also very much in love with the pancakes. The chef was even kind enough to share the recipe with me. I absolutely have to make them sometime – best with Sandra. (You know how it goes: Sandra makes the pancakes and I try not to get in the way. 🤣 If you’re new here, you can read all about that here.)

Pool and Relaxation: A Peaceful Retreat

The pool area looks just as inviting as everything else at the hotel. There are ultra-comfortable beanbag loungers that you simply never want to get up from. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side, so I barely got to spend time at the pool – but the time I did spend there was lovely.

Restaurant at the Aguamadera: Regional and Seasonal Open-Fire Cooking

From 7:30 pm the hotel opens its restaurant to outside guests, but until then the entire property belongs exclusively to its guests – all in the name of peace and quiet. We had dinner at the restaurant several times and it was fantastic every single time. I remember some delicious mussels – no photo, obviously, but eaten properly hot.

The owners describe their kitchen like this: „Regional ingredients, wild flavours and the finest seasonal produce come together in a down-to-earth, fiery cuisine.“

Getting There

The only slightly tricky part is the road leading to the hotel. It’s an unpaved track that I would not attempt in a sports car. Heavy winter rainfall had clearly taken its toll on the surface.

Wir waren über Silvester mal wieder auf Fuerteventura und ich habe euch noch längst nicht von allen Naturschauplätzen berichtet, die wir bisher dort besucht haben. Diesmal beispielsweise berichte ich euch von einem Barranco, den wir erobert haben.

Barrancos sind laut Internet Erosionsrisse. Die Geografie-Interessierten von euch können das gerne mal alles ganz genau nachlesen. Ich begnüge mich damit, euch zu sagen, dass es sich bei dem Barranco, den wir besucht haben, um einen Erosionsriss in einem Trockengebiet handelt.
Es gibt einige davon auf den Kanarischen Inseln und auch mehrere auf Fuerteventura. Manche sind groß, weitläufig und spektakulär und andere wiederum klein.

Dieser Barranco ist ein wunderschöner Naturschauplatz und liegt im Norden Fuerteventuras und ist recht leicht zu finden. Der Boden, der zu dem Riss führt, ist vollkommen mit kleinen Schneckenhäusern übersät. Das Gestein in dem Riss selbst ist sehr locker und rutscht recht leicht ab. Also nichts, um darauf herumzuklettern.

Wir waren vollständig alleine dort, was bedeutet, dass dieser Ort bisher noch nicht zu den „Instagram-Hotspots“ gehört. Deshalb habe ich auch entschieden, keine genaue Ortsangabe zu machen.
Wer diese Erosionsrisse finden will, der findet sie wirklich ganz leicht, aber ein bisschen Anstrengung kann ja nicht schaden. Vielleicht bleiben solche Naturschauplätze so länger erhalten.

We were on Fuerteventura again over New Year’s Eve and I haven’t told you about all the natural sites we’ve visited so far. This time, for example, I’ll tell you about a barranco that we explored.

According to the internet, barrancos are erosion cracks. Those of you interested in geography are welcome to read all about it in detail. I’ll content myself with telling you that the barranco we visited was an erosion crack in a dry area.
There are quite a few of them in the Canary Islands and also several in Fuerteventura. Some are large, extensive and spectacular and others are small.

This barranco is a beautiful natural site located in the north of Fuerteventura and is quite easy to find. The ground leading to the crack is completely covered with small snail shells. The rock in the crack itself is very loose and slips quite easily. So nothing to climb on.

We were completely alone there, which means that this place is not yet one of the „Instagram hotspots“. That’s why I decided not to give an exact location.
If you want to find these erosion cracks, they are really easy to find, but a little effort can’t hurt. Maybe this will help to preserve such natural sites for longer.

Seit wir 2018 das internationale Zirkusfestival von Monte-Carlo durch einen Zufall für uns entdeckt haben, versuchen wir jedes Jahr Karten zu ergattern. Tatsächlich „ergattern“, denn auch wenn das Festival eine ganze Zeit lang läuft, sind die Karten zügig ausverkauft und das zurecht: Denn das „Festival du Cirque“ ist ein internationaler Wettstreit der Artisten, in dem nur die Crème de la Crème gegeneinander antreten darf. Wer in diesem renommierten Wettstreit einen der begehrten Clowns, die in Gold, Silber und Bronze verliehen werden, gewinnt, kann sich über Bookings auf der ganzen Welt freuen.

Das Niveau der Artisten ist unglaublich, und die Atmosphäre im Zirkuszelt ist einfach großartig. Das Publikum klatscht, lacht und nicht selten hält es gemeinschaftlich die Luft an, um danach in lauten Jubel auszubrechen. Beeindruckend schön sind auch die Kostüme und Requisiten der Artisten. Ich habe mal wieder versucht, ein paar Bilder zu schießen, um die Atmosphäre einzufangen …

Since we fell in love with the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival in 2018, we’ve been trying to get our hands on tickets every year. „Getting hold of“ indeed, because even though the festival runs for a long time, tickets sell out quickly and rightly so: the „Festival du Cirque“ is an international competition for artists in which only the crème de la crème are allowed to compete against. Whoever wins one of the renowned clowns, which are awarded in gold, silver and bronze, can look forward to bookings all over the world.

The niveau of the artists is incredible and the atmosphere in the circus tent is simply fantastic. The audience claps, laughs and often holds their collective breath before bursting into loud cheers. The artists‘ costumes and requisites are so impressive. I tried to take a few pictures to catch the atmosphere …

Der Beitrag „FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DU CIRQUE“ 2024 erschien zuerst auf Zeitgeist Living.

Das passiert, wenn deine Freundin eine nachträgliche Geburtstagsüberraschung hat und dich verdammt gut kennt: Sie schleppt dich zu ihrem Lieblingsstrand, verwöhnt dich mit leckerem Wein und Essen und schenkt dir einen ganzen Tag mit ihr.

Nein, ich muss das revidieren: Wir waren ja gar nicht an einem Strand, wir waren im Interior-Himmel, wo es ganz zufällig auch leckeres Essen mit allem Drum und Dran gibt samt Espresso Martini. Außerdem habe ich gelernt, dass sich der Interior-Himmel nicht auf Wolke 7 befindet, sondern an einem herrlichen Sandstrand liegt.

In diesem Fall heißt der Deko-Heaven La Plage Bonaventure und ihr findet ihn am Strand von Palavas-les-Flots in der Camargue.
Glaubt mir die meisten Gäste sind erst mal knipsend mit dem Handy durch den Beachclub geschlichen. Staunend und Schockverliebt.

This is what happens when your girlfriend has a belated birthday surprise and knows you pretty darn well: She drags you to her favorite beach, treats you to delicious wine and food, and gives you a whole day with her.

No, I have to revise that: We weren’t at a beach at all, we were in interior heaven, where it just so happens that there’s also delicious food with all the trimmings including an espresso martini. I also learned that Interior Heaven is not on cloud nine, but on a gorgeous sandy beach.

In this case, the Deko-Heaven is called La Plage Bonaventure and you can find it on the beach of Palavas-les-Flots in the Camargue.
Believe me most of the guests first crept through the beach club snapping pictures with their cell phones. Amazed and in love with shock.

Tarifa hat mein Herz erobert. Wie sollte es auch anders sein. Von Tarifa bis Marokko sind es per Boot nur noch 17 km und dieser Umstand hat den Ort geprägt. Ebenso geprägt haben die Surfer Tarifa, denn der Ort ist echter Kite- und Windsurf Hotspot. Es gibt alles, was der Surf-Hipster so braucht. Chillige Beachbars, Restos, Shops wie den von „Tarifa Soul“ und es gibt auch reichlich Auswahl für „Vegan“.

Da man ab Tarifa mit der Fähre in kürzester Zeit in Marokko ist, kann man dort übrigens auch die abgefahrensten Wohnmobile und Wüstentrucks bewundern. Und wer Lust auf einen Tagestrip nach Marokko hat, sollte seinen Reisepass mitnehmen, denn die Schnellfähren ermöglichen Tagestouren nach Tanger.

Und um noch eins obendrauf zu setzten: In Tarifa kann man Wale beobachten. Auch wenn es ganzjährig möglich sein soll, Wale zu beobachten, so soll zwischen Mai und September die beste Zeit für Whale Watching in Tarifa sein. Sieben verschiedene Walarten und natürlich auch Delfine kann man vor Tarifa beobachten, sofern einem das Glück hold ist.
Als wir da waren, hat es geregnet und das Meer sah nicht sehr einladend aus. Ich wäre auf kein Boot gegangen. Mein Vater ist zwar früher zur See gefahren, aber ich gebe zu, dass ich in dieser Hinsicht nicht nach ihm komme. Mein Magen ist schaukeltechnisch nicht sonderlich experimentierfreudig 🤢.

Gewohnt haben wir in dem wunderschönen Hotel „The Riad Tarifa“ (affiliate link), dass ich euch unbedingt ans Herz legen möchte. Das Riad war traumhaft eingerichtet, hat ein Spa und im Sommer auch noch eine Dachterrasse, die während unseres Besuchs leider wegen Regen geschlossen war.
Gefrühstückt haben wir nicht im Hotel, weil wir ein kleines Frühstückslokal namens „Helena’s Kitchen“ entdeckt hatten, wo wir unbedingt noch ein zweites Mal hin wollten. Es war so gut.

Tarifa has conquered my heart. How could it be otherwise. From Tarifa to Morocco it is only 17 km by boat and this circumstance has shaped the place. The surfers have also shaped Tarifa, because the place is a real kite and windsurf hotspot. There is everything the surf hipster needs. Chilly beach bars, restos, stores like the one of „Tarifa Soul“ and there is also plenty of choice for „vegan“.

Since the ferry from Tarifa takes you to Morocco in no time at all, you can also admire the wackiest motorhomes and desert trucks there. And if you feel like a day trip to Morocco, you should take your passport with you, because the fast ferries allow day trips to Tangier.

And to top it off: In Tarifa you can watch whales. Even though it is possible to watch whales all year round, the best time for whale watching in Tarifa is between May and September. Seven different whale species and of course dolphins can be seen in Tarifa, if you are lucky.
When we were there it was raining and the sea didn’t look very inviting. I would not have gone on any boat. My father used to go to sea, but I admit I don’t take after him in that regard. My stomach is not much of an experimenter when it comes to rocking 🤢.

We lived in a beautiful hotel „The Riad Tarifa“(affiliate link) that I would like to recommend to you. The riad was fantastically furnished, has a spa and in the summer even a roof terrace, which was unfortunately closed during our visit because of rain.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel, because we had discovered a small breakfast place called „Helena’s Kitchen“, where we definitely wanted to go a second time. It was so good.

Den Beginn des Jahres 2023 haben wir auf einem Andalusien-Roadtrip verbracht. Jeden Tag in einem anderen Ort, jede Nacht in einem anderen Hotel, dabei habe ich ein paar Tipps für euch gesammelt, die ich gerne mit euch teilen möchte. Gestartet haben wir unsere Tour in Sevilla. Sevilla war auch die einzige Stadt, für die wir etwas mehr Zeit eingeplant hatten.

Wie schön ist bitte Sevilla? Alle wissen es nur ich anscheinend nicht, denn Sevilla ist über Neujahr vor lauter Touristen quasi aus allen Nähten geplatzt.
Schon bei der Buchung eines Zimmers war mir aufgefallen, das die Auswahl nicht mehr besonders groß war und ich hatte mir eingebildet, ich wäre früh dran gewesen. Pustekuchen. Alles was schön war, hatte seinen Preis. Solltet ihr also einen Sevilla-Trip planen, bucht rechtzeitig.
Wir haben am Ende in einem wirklich tollen Apartment mit spektakulärem Blick auf die Kathedrale (affiliate Link) mitten im Zentrum gewohnt. Das Apartment hatte eine riesige Terrasse, auf der es sogar einen kleinen Pool gab. Wirklich toll. Ich habe es euch mal verlinkt.

Sevilla ist geprägt von unglaublich schönen alten Gebäuden, Parks, Palmen und Orangenbäumen. Man kann alle vorstellbaren Attraktionen buchen, die ein Touristenherz höherschlagen lassen: von Kutschfahrten bis hin zu einer herrlich kitschigen Ruderboot-Fahrt am Place de Espagne. Alles mit warten oder Schlange stehen, versteht sich. Einige Museen, wie zum Beispiel den Besuch der Kathedrale kann man online vorbuchen, was ich unbedingt empfehlen würde. Wir waren weder in der Kathedrale noch in einer anderen Sehenswürdigkeit, denn als wir in Sevilla waren, hatten die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten wegen der Feiertage geschlossen. Aber wir haben die Zeit auch so gut rumbekommen. Ein wirklich toller Zeitvertreib war übrigens der, sich mit Churros vollzustopfen.

We spent the beginning of 2023 on an Andalusia road trip. Every day in a different place, every night in a different hotel, I have collected a few tips for you, which I would like to share with you. We started our tour in Seville. Seville was also the only city for which we had planned a little more time.

How beautiful is Seville? Everyone knows it but me apparently not, because Seville was bursting at the seams with tourists over the New Year.
Already when booking a room, I had noticed that the selection was no longer particularly large and I had imagined that I would have been early. No such luck. Everything that was nice had its price. So if you are planning a trip to Seville, book early.
We ended up staying in a really great apartment with a spectacular view of the cathedral (affiliate link) right in the center. The apartment had a huge terrace where there was even a small pool. Really great. I’ve linked it to you guys.

Seville is characterized by incredibly beautiful old buildings, parks, palm trees and orange trees. You can book every imaginable attraction that makes a tourist’s heart beat faster: from carriage rides to a wonderfully kitschy rowboat ride at Place de Espagne. All with waiting or standing in line, of course. Some museums, such as a visit to the cathedral, can be pre-booked online, which I would definitely recommend. (tickets online on the official website)
We didn’t go to the cathedral or any of the other sights because when we were in Seville, most of the sights were closed for the holidays. But we got the time around just fine. By the way, a really great way to pass the time was to stuff ourselves with churros.

Es mag ein schwerer Schlag für die „Generation ohne T-Shirt“ sein, aber in Nizza ist es nicht erlaubt, seinen hippen, im Fitnessstudio gestählten, voll-tätowierten Super-Body in der Stadt halb nackt zu präsentieren. Das gilt sowohl für Männlein als auch für Weiblein.
Und nackte fette Bierbäuche oder schwabbelige Bikini-Figuren will man schließlich weder beim Essen noch beim Bummeln in der Stadt vor die Nase geschoben bekommen 🙈🤷‍♀️.

Während dich in Monaco, Cannes oder Saint Tropez sofort und ich meine wirklich sofort eine Trillerpfeife schneller zur Ordnung ruft, als du dein T-Shirt ausgezogen hast, hängen in Nizza nun Schilder. Mit dem neuen Körperkult hat das überall Halbnackt-Rumlaufen in Nizza tatsächlich extrem zugenommen. Es ist an mancher Stelle wirklich etwas aufdringlich bis unangenehm.

Auf den Schildern wird in mehreren Sprachen darauf hingewiesen, dass man in der City bekleidet zu sein hat, übrigens auch auf Deutsch, was uns zu denken geben sollte. Bei Zuwiderhandlung werden Strafen bis zu 150,00 EUR angedroht.

Tja, liebe Frauen, wenn das kein Grund ist, sich mit den schönsten Tunikas und Kimonos einzudecken, denn die trägt man hier besonders gern, wenn es im Beach Club beispielsweise zu Tisch geht 🤩.

Was sich übrigens auch absolut nicht gehört: Sich in den Beach Clubs mit nassen Klamotten auf die tollen Sofas in die Loungebereiche zu setzen. Die Möbel bekommen zum einen Flecken und zum anderen hat der nächste Gast später einen nassen Hintern. Es ist mir vollkommen unverständlich, wie Touristen das als vollkommen normal empfinden und sich wundern, wenn sie vom Kellner aufgescheucht werden. In jedem Beach Club gibt es Umkleiden.

Well, dear women, if that’s not a reason to stock up with the most beautiful tunics and kimonos, because they are especially popular here when dining at the beach club, for example 🤩.

By the way, it is absolutely not appropriate to sit on the great sofas in the lounge areas of the beach clubs with wet clothes. On the one hand, the furniture gets stained and on the other hand, the next guest has a wet ass later. It is completely incomprehensible to me how tourists find this perfectly normal and are surprised when they are startled by the waiter. There are changing rooms in every beach club.
